It's.. a little .. confusing in comparison to Pokemon Go.

But it has some really cool features.  I might give it a go for a bit...

Been playing this for a while now in NZ streets. Way more complex and fun than PokeGo.
There's not much of inventory management in this one that's a plus too. And then there aren't raids so that saves you from that Asian dude with 4 device in their hand and not battling the boss.

Complex. maybe, more fun? No way. I doubt it's going to see as many long term players as PG.

Plus, there are "raids" just they aren't called the same thing, but using more than one device is likely not going to work because the battles are a little more active, even if they aren't really all that much fun.  Plus they swap the amount of pokeballs for spell energy... *shrug* it's okay.. maybe fore ultra HP fans this might have some appeal.  My wife has already gotten tired of it though and she is a major HP fan.

D/l it to see what the hype is about, first thing it ask is for me to log in with facebook or google. I have neither and dont want them. game deleted.

looks like the only way i get to play is avoiding people walking in the street with their phone in their face.

Not sure what the problem is.. but if it's android... you can download it off of apkpure.

That's where I go usually to download stuff that only releases in other countries.

I know that iPhones have been having issues with this game though.  But that shouldn't bother you since you're on android.  If you still can't get it off akpure and need help I can export the apk, but I doubt you'll have any issues.

I think the problem is that the game doesn't like my Samsung REVVL even though it's Android 7.0
I had the same issue with the ES:Blades, although at least that game had the balls to say "Your Phone blows, get a newer one"  :p

Well better than Pokemon Go is hardly a measuring stick ..lol.Poke Go is not even a game,it is simply a cheap app.
SO this is another cheap phone app and again not a game? Most of us by now realize that phones and the engines driving the games can create some really nice looking games. This does NOT look good,it looks very cheap/ugly.
Yes this does a lot more than Pokemon Go but again, comparing a game versus Go is not a real measuring stick.

Nobody seems to want to mention a cash shop but i can see how one would be extremely exploited by the many ideas that would support a cash shop, like keys/gold/fragments/unlocks and likely ways to improve rewards, there is just a LOT of ideas in there that smell of cash grabs.

If this were a typical mmorpg,99.9% would scoff at the notion of a hours and hours to brew some potion, however i bet in this case people will be flocking to this cheap app/game ignoring the same complaints they have had in the past.

See our opinions differ here...In my Opinion both are games...They have Game mechanics....Like Raising your lvl and changing your epuipment....Among other things....I consider phone apps would be Discord, Banking App, Crome, stuff like that

It's Wizardry, don't expect his response to be indicative of a real-world sense of the game in question.

That being said, I don't feel it's better than pokemon go. I feel it's more involved.  I think the skill tree is a nice addition, and the battles are a little more active, but for the most part, they are way too similar, and at best they pander just enough to Potterfans to make it worthwhile, but the vast majority of confoundables thus far have felt lackluster to me.

In comparison to PG, pokemon as always, is deceptively complex.  This is based around the "rock, paper, scissors" mechanics of certain poke types having severe advantages over others.  You still focus on leveling up, and in some ways, the combat is active, but it all is offset by what is super effective against other types, and setting up your team based around that.

In that way I've had battles with pokemon double my CP level and won hands down.

In HPWU I've had several battles where, even with protego upgraded and cast properly. I still take enough damage to knock me out.

It's part of the game, both games seem like they have their niche.  I hope to see HPWU get better with age, but right now, I think PG still has a tremendous edge.
