On Monday, June 24th, ArcheAge players can log into the PTR to check out an "extravaganza" event celebrating the launch of the Eastern Hiram Mountains in the near future. The event kicks off at 9:00 am Pacific / 12:00 pm Eastern and players will have some fun activities including escorting and protecting the CM, taking on waves of monsters and much more. Participation on the PTR will receive some in-game rewards at a later date.

    You gotta understand where I'm coming from though Suzie. Escorting anything in a mmorpg is ugh....Dont even get me started on FFXIV and the stupid /beckon....

    Yes, the /beckon command in escort quests is pretty much the worst thing in MMO quest history.

    Yes, the /beckon command in escort quests is pretty much the worst thing in MMO quest history.
    Lovesick and lost (alliance) bfa story quest, was the worst for me it was/is bugged and it took me around 1 hour to complete. :(

    You can just grind the gear from the mobs now and get the best gear. If you play PTS server you can realize Hiram gear is better than P2W gear. You can get the best p2w gear right away in PTS for free. Just go to archeage forum and copy paste the command.

    Personally I have no interest in this game. Never played before and I don't think I will ever play it. But I hear a lot of positive things about Archeage since Gamigo take over. My friend is saying that the game is a lot less p2w since they introduced some kind of new gear, a catch up system and a new kind of enchanting system I guess. And I see a lot of positive re review videos from some of the youtubers that I follow. I'm happy that some people are enjoying their favorite mmorpg again after all these years.

    Problem is the grinding in AA was the second worst part of the game - so much sameness, you were generally locked into grinding the same tiny area as everyone else instead of just playing the game. You should be able to go to any high level zone within the game and get the equivalent of this new "Hiram" gear. This sounds like more of the same.

    And the dungeons sucked, library being the worst most unimaginative dungeon to build pretty much an entire expansion around.

    I've never played a game that made grinding more painful in both quantity and more importantly quality. It's an improvement that you can get end game gear through pve now but someone has to show me that its not a retardedly mind numbing process to do so anymore.

    And here is a question - how much of the earlier grindfest content would a new player have to go through to gear up enough to effectively grind for this new tier of gear?

    I am really amazed how this game keeps going......

    sad great game killed by the cashshop.

    Until they remove the p2w bs, nothing they add or change can ever fix the game.

    The P2W gear just got an upgrade as well, so that is still BIS... which was hacked recently where many players took advantage of.. Gamigo indicates action was taken but the rankings for the gear show players still there with the gear... It should be about competing with players, not about grinding for gear, the process can take a very long time for all items to be upgraded...

    Sub and costume only cashshop and I would play aa again in a heartbeat. No apex period.

    It would be one thing if you only had to do it once or twice but holy hell you have to repeat it every 5 steps!

    I've been seeing a number of positive reviews for this game in 2019. Think I might install and jump in just to test it out for 8-10 hrs!

    Geez... It's so annoing to read comments from ppl who either never played the game or quit long time ago. I returned a few months ago and AA is NOTHING it used to be. The cash shop has negligible effect now, you can get 2nd best gear only through grinding (not even close to the one in BDO) or doing dungeons (totally revamped Library) or world bosses. Changes on the horizon (new castle system) are really interesting and people do seem to be enjoing the game. Sure, it has its problems, mostly technical issues and support is just meh, but the game itself is in the best condition it has ever been.
