Gameforge has announced that it has acquired the publication rights in NA and EU for Kingdom Under Fire 2. According to the press release, KUF2 will be available later in 2019 for PC. KUF2 is the latest in the long-running series with it originally being announced in 2008. KUF2 is considered a hybrid MMORPG and real-time strategy with three distinct factions. I remember playing one of the eastern versions of this years ago. If you like Conquerors Blade you will love KUF2.

The scorpion units looked so cool.

    It's like Dynasty Warriors, right?
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Mixed with light strategy. So I'm not sure what a more apt comparison might be.

Dynasty Warriors and its licensed spinoffs are my guilty pleasure, so I'm potentially in the market for this, but it's so late to the party that I question its quality.

I am horrible at controlling large armies. I don't have the ability to have a good overview of the battlefield. I am basically a small unit person or a grunt in an army type of person. Although I would love to play these games I think I can never enjoy them well because of my handicap.

I get that. I despise RTS games for that reason. Turn based strategy is my bread and butter though.

played it way back on the ph beta, it's a really nice and polished game but the playerbase is gone now in the west and the west release will be really tricky for them.
you can compare it with conquerers blade but with more strategic options for your units. and you play a dynasty warriors like hero that can bash through most smaller units.

having played the eastern release a bit and if i recall correctly you only controll a few units at a time (think max was 3), and you could set them to auto follow/engage but sometimes ya had to pop to tactical map to use an AoE or AoE heal or something of that sort (or have them rush in before you charge in yourself).

Well that sounds manageable. Thanks I will look into this game.

It's weird how late some of these MMORPG's come out in the West (PSO2 being another). They miss the time frame where it could blow up by years in a lot of cases. KUF2 is definitely passed that window of time but I'll probably try it out.
