This website would be a lot better if it actually talked about mmorpgs instead of every shooter, BR and other craptastic game that most MMORPG players don't care about. Just my opinion.

I was just about to say the same thing, the dam URL is www.mmorpg.com, maybe the new blood can adhere to this genre. But we better stop, someone is going to get rubbed the wrong way and start screaming at us in 5, 4, 3, 2.......

The site evolved guys, that happens in life, I don't think anyone is going to start sceaming mind you. :)

Even back in the old days we were never just MMORPG players, so it made sense to branch out.

Then you change the DNS entry, change your whole website to reflect that. Thats like bringing up a website about Ford Trucks, then constantly reporting on Ford cars, GM's, etc... It is not good practice and does not make any sense. So if the site evolved as you claim (which it has), then the site should reflect this.
Music Television (MTV), Country Music Television (CMT), International Business Machines, (IBM), Apple Computers, Amazon Books and countless other companies whose names  no longer reflect their core business.

At least this site usually focuses on games and on occasion even covers MMOS, well at least when they aren't confused about what one actually is of course.

    :D

What mmorpgs? You mean talk about the same old games since next to zero are being made.

    Yeah- pass.

Actually there is quite a bit of news coming out of dozens of existing MMOs and of course indies, but much of it isn't covered in press releases and requires some active participation to learn of.

I find MassivelyOP does a much better job reporting on existing MMORPGs as they seem to have editors actively playing or regularly revisiting many of them.

The lack of proper forums is their big weakness,  can't really have a decent conversation about games with their set up, this site is much better. (Despite this shit Vanilla of course)

So we are back to an all male site.  I think Susie will be missed most as her input from the feminine side was important and welcome.  I have my doubts about this drastic change.

Start by focusing only on MMOs again. Second, stop with the biased payed/sponsored content and instead embrace journalistic integrity. Third, treat all visitors equally and do not cater to individuals/groups. Last, stay close to the community via forum interaction, contest, feedback, polls, etc, but stay professional and avoid personal connections, praise, attacks, etc.

My next suggestion is to stop pandering to the F2P asian market. This will drop revenue in the short term, but if you can succeed in helping pull the genre out of this funk, it will only help revenue in the long term. The site is not doing itself nor the community any favors by adding to the hype machine for the latest and greatest re-skin microtransaction pice of garbage coming from the likes of Nexon, Netease or NCSoft.

I dunno man. I'm Asian and tbh those are the news I look forward to the most in this site.

My hopes are actually the complete opposite. MMORPG.com would be able to estimate the geographies of its readers. I'm guessing the number of Asian readers are increasing. Please cover more Asian MMOs.

Maybe his issue is that he thinks that covering Asian mmorpg's means that there is no room for other mmorpg's as opposed to what is actually happening where they are just covering the news they can get.

And after all, it's not like there are 20+ Asian mmorpg's being covered every day.

*DISAGREE - I'd like to see more non MMO related games featured on this site. MMO's are on life support its time to start branching this website into other genre's

Talk is cheap,i know when someone sounds passionate and when someone sounds like they are representing a BUSINESS.
So far,i can't say i could name one notable name in the industry outside of actual game producers/designers,everyone else to me is simply leeching off the industry to make a living.

Sure go ahead, earn a living, support your family, that is what most people want from life. The sad reality is that it just cannot go hand in hand with passion and honesty, the business side is full of deception and the true passionate side would sound like two friends discussing a game or two with each other, which almost NEVER happens on websites.
So how do i treat an article,i simply look at what type of game is it,then i decide is it worth looking at it any further then i end up looking on You Tube or twitch for actual game play.

This site does NOT offer valuable game play information,we never get a passionate narrative alongside a video of game play.
Ever watch an Angry Joe video,he gets his brothers, they usually have prepared a scene, costumes and they get right in to the narrative of describing a game.Unlike the past Joe will often give us BOTH sides now,the good and the bad and you can see the passion or if a game is boring him to death.

When i or we read articles,we just assume anything and everything, for all we know the author might not have even played the game,we don't even know the passion,we just read some typed out words and that's it.There is a LOT more to the business than that of course like paid invites ,accommodations, not a lot of passion when going to game shows because it is your JOB,not even close to the same thing as a passionate gamer paying his own money to go.

SO what do i personally expect from ANY employee>>honesty, that true game passion so many like to claim.Don't candy coat the obvious and omit the bad because it looks bad, dishonest and misleading.Thing about PASSION and so many tossing that term around is that even if i don't have the same passion as 20 years ago,i still work with younger people,i see the passion,i can most certainly identify it and EASILY.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

What do you mean? MMORPG.COM IS an mmorpg. Never heard of text based? We got it all. Dungeons in Off Topic, PvE in the Hardware section, and PvP everywhere!

Certainly seems like Poster vs. Poster action everywhere sometimes!

    The new definition of MMORPG.

Many Mobile Online, Ridiculously Priced Games.

Because it's ridiculous to think games are really meant to be played for free.
