WoW is definitely something to look out for, don't doubt. Blizzard, I believe, has remained a balanced developer in the industry; however, that's not to say they won't have shortcomings, especially since it's their first step into the MMOs. Though Guild Wars looks interesting enough, I don't rate it to any degree of higher anticipation and standard than WoW.
I was hooked on the EQII feel for a bit, but now I think WoW has stolen the ball.

Going by your statement, every MMORPG game that has come out would be consider the same as what you see WoW to be. I dont think you could be any farther from the truth. Granted you are able to solo, but that is not the idea/concept behind MMORPG's.

oh yea, if you guys read the stuff the people who played it wrote, one of them quoted something like "blizzard doesn't know the meaning of beta." apparently, they all said that the game has very little bugs, less than most mmorpg's when they come out, just that they haven't finished all the classes yet.
so i wanna know why they're late on the beta... I wanna play it!!!!

One kick in the face is better then two.
i think it'll continue on from the recent warcraft games....and it'll OWN in it's own genre...but im more into mmorpgs like daoc or something
I personally doesn't like the way WoW is designed. and I'm sure it's not gonna gather larger audience that we all think it would.
Guild Wars gonna kick major asses out of WoW.
The way I see it, Blizzard isn't the same company that we used to know.

WoW seems to have good potential. As for "Single player game with a chatroom", hmmm.
Guess we gotta wait til beta comes.
So far the only MMO that I'm actually looking forwrd to
Thinking of strange days
And wet-dream escapades
Oh this summer is sweet sleep
Because we are living day dreams
i don't see how they're gonna pull it off
