On the heels of a buggy patch which affected power armor sets, Bethesda released a hotfix for Fallout 76 which is removing top players from survival mode, according to the patch notes.

    Good change. Hated the concept of being "Wanted" for doing good in survival. Only to get gunned down by a bug russian server hopping gank squad that abuse fast travel. So this is much better. You're no longer encouraged to change servers when you suddenly hit top 3.

    You know, its pretty amazing that this title can stay true to the name 'fallout' because there surely has been a lot of it.

    Fallout 76 is so buggy it even causes typo's in the news articles covering it, lol

    So does anyone show up on the map? If the top 3 don't, but someone else does, it seems like they're just handing easy scores to help the top 3.

    If nobody shows up there, then I guess it's who's better and luckier.

    Of course, if the top 3 greatly outclass the others for some reason, maybe they need to have some extra difficulty to even things out some rather than leaving it a one sided gankfest.

    Obviously if I played FO76, I'd know which is the case. But it just doesn't seem to be much of a fallout game to me, just another type that re-uses fallout graphics assets. But that's my take on it at this time.
    I still like to keep an eye on it to see if it ever mutates into something that sounds fun to me.

    Lost my mind, now trying to lose yours...

    I have never played the survival mode and dont intend to.. Just waiting on the wastelanders patch before I play again. Put 100+ hours into it prior but ran out of things to do.

    It makes me happy seeing devs update this badboy. I had a lot of fun building tree houses and fighting random encounters. I play solo, the sprpg experience is totally present imo

    I remember when game companies used to release pretty much unbuggy games that were fun and good to play, thesedays thats all F'ed off out now that they have the internet to rely on sending out a patch fix and some games just get junked cos they carnt be azzed to fix them or did not make enough original to warrent more work. That and the pricing has trippled if not quadrupled in the past 15yrs and the quality has come right down.

    Any wonder why peeps are peeved off?

    Still waiting for player mod support and private servers like they talked about before release. If they don't get around to that, probably ain't playing it ever again.
