If this server isn't a steam exclusive I will ban it!!!! That's unethical business practice!!!
Other than that, good for them. RP-PVP people are kind of a weird fanatic breed and deserve a server specifically designed to support their playstyle. I wish I could get into it since it seems like they have way more fun than regular players.
Yep great let's start out by splitting the community into smaller groups via various server types. Gee that didn't have a negative impact on the game population the first time round right?
Don't worry, there are server queues for today's stress test, at least on the PvE server. If PvP servers are DOA, that's just par for the course.
PvP servers are by far the most populated. I expect pve to grow over time but the initial rush will be toward pvp servers. Pve was virtually not represented on pservers and original vanilla Wow was equally pvp heavy as pve. Modern Wow players seem to have forgotten this or never knew it because it has an entirely different player base than when Wow launched.
Classic is an MMORPG. You know, the actual name of this website. Modern Wow is an MMO. It lost the RPG element when it stripped community based gaming from it. People will talk to you in Classic even at level 1. This will shock a lot of players.

When have the PVP servers ever been the most populated? they have always been the least active, its why there are so few PVP servers compared to PVE servers

If you look at this list the PvP and PvE servers were equally numerous. It is only in Russia, China and Korea that the number of PvP servers seem to be more than the PvE servers. However there was one thing that affected PvP servers more than PvE servers and that was an unbalanced Horde versus Alliance population. I did notice when I used to check the old realm list site, that was a site that listed the servers by population the servers that had a heavy Horde or Alliance population was very low on the losing side. This probably did not affect the PvE servers as much aside from what is listed on the auction house.
I think both PvP and PvE were equally popular on the old servers. Bear in mind that this list is far less numerous than it once was after the servers were reduced in number. If indeed either PvE or PvP was more numerous then it would be reflected by the number of servers each type boasted.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

This shows the imbalance very clearly.
