I’ve never really been into Warhammer, 40K or otherwise. Yes, I know, smells like heresy. Oh, the memes. Despite that, I sank dozens of hours into the Dawn Of War titles back in the day and after living with a housemate who managed a Games Workshop, I’ve had a little bit of familiarity with the franchise. So here we are with Warhammer 40000: Inquisitor - Prophecy, an action-RPG that promises the wholesale slaughter to propagate the glory of the Emperor.

I agree with many points made in this review.

My biggest complaint is the map design. Its boring, same re-used colors, environments, and enemies.

I also don't like that this is another stand alone game. It should be DLC period.

Meanwhile Fallout 76 has the same cons and gets 7/10.

    And it's even worse product.

So I really like the new campaign and the new class is cool, but honestly this should have always been a DLC and released at a lower cost for people that owned the original..There isnt enough content or game change to really justify the cost they asked for a whole new standalone..

True but that's not how GW roll. This new game is a chance to add more DLC and we all know how much GW like paid DLC. Not saying it like it's a bad thing either cause it's the motivation for them to keep it all going. Eventually this will go on sale for as much as the price of a burger and by that time that extra content will most likely be there also for the price of some fries and a drink.

And the fact that the coop loot bug is still in this game is mindblowing. Arpgs are great for 2 reasons, Loot, and playing with friends and getting loot. So yeah. Pretty important bug that somehow still exists.....

Well, NeoCore doesn't have as much money as Bethesda, so...

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

Im glad to see a good analysis here once in a while. Still a bit too delicate with this "expansion". More like a 4/10

Matter of tastes I guess. Bought the base game @ 50% off on steam and jumped on Prophesy two days later at the 30% off owning the base game gave me at the time (For a total of ~ 43 EUR). I have gotten much less game for a higher price in my life. Still having fun with it, so I see it as money well spend.

Its not a matter of tastes. Its not about the game not being enjoyable, or the critic not liking it. Its about dissecting it into objetive measurable bits and analyzing them and compare them to industry standards.

This "stand-alone" expansion is mediocre at best. I have tons of fun from mediocre products. That doesnt make them less mediocre.

You're both right, but I feel like your measurement is more important, otherwise bad shit starts happening.

Not more important. But its true that when we start with make-believe, agree to disagree opinions, and saying that everything depends on the observer sanity is lost.

Then you end like nowadays reviving earthflatters and lysenkoism or giving FO76 a 7/10 at its launch.
