I agree that the skyscale is very underwhelming.

What are you talking about? The problem with the Skyscale is that it is so good, it has basically replaced all my other mounts 90% of the time. Once you get used to the sprint action, nothing compares to it. It has pretty well revitalized the HoT maps, as they suddenly become a playground of vertical movement.

GW2 has a lot of problems, but the skyscale mount isn't one of them.

Anet is lost! They have lost touch with the game and the people that play it. They have ran out of ideas and the only thing they can think of is mounts? And everyone wanting underwater mount? For what? People hate underwater combat and only go in the water for quests! It's better that they spend the effort on fixing the problems then to worry about a shark mount!

A shark mount WOULD fix problems, though. It would mean much less time is spent on the game's worst content, and that is a win for everyone.

IMO, expand the Skimmer mastery for underwater.

How would that even work? The literal purpose of the skimmer is to avoid going underwater (or avoiding other hazards).

IDK but it seems to make more sense to me than making yet another separate mount. The Skimmer and just about all its skins are already water-based/themed animals.

Just make it so that one of the abilities for the skimmer is to dive.  One thing I hate doing is being forced to switch between mounts all the time. If there are water areas, the skimmer would be the best option because you don't interact with anything underwater until you get to the area you need to be at.
