Katie Sae, the capsuleer who first explored all reachable systems in EVE Online without a single combat loss was awarded a world record due to this enormous accomplishment.

i couldnt care less dude i dont play eve anymore im just saying she had help for atleast 50% of this journey and that statue only commemorates her so get over yourself, this "achievement" is only being released as a PR stunt to try n drive new players into eve!

Thing is all these people in here drinking the cool aid of what this news piece is throwing them dont understand that the statue wont even mention any form of help nor will it be noted in the record. (ccp games will want to make it as outstanding as possible for the PR of it).
Without that help u get nothing in the end and if you dont have a quote from the person in question tacked onto the record/statue this would be giving them the middle finger its disrespectful to all those that have helped you along the way

Its not cheating, its not dumbed down, the salt by some here is real. Its a world record but lets not acknowledge that because of “stuff.” We all play MMOs, we all know how impressive this is, no one here could do this, not even close but lets question it because god forbids someone did something exceptional. And I won’t even start commenting on this millenial nonsense that keep being mentioned as soon as somebody doesn’t like something.
Its a world record, that says enough.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

Uhm accomplishment yes not sure about the odds. Its akin to painting an office building with a toothbrush wow that took along time and you did it quite an accomplishment (but why not just paint it with a power sprayer and save 1 year of time)! If you understand EVE at all its extremely safe to travel around if your only objective is to travel from point a to b. A challenge is traveling around in a ship that will actually have a purpose once it reaches like being combat effective. It doesnt take much to configure a ship in eve that is immune to ganks and gate camps. Add in a few more easy precautions and the only challenge is deal with the monotony. Have a scout check each gate, join alliances, have people give you safe spot bookmarks, cloak in eve is literally 100% invisibility. I mean its really easy and i can list many many many additional things to ensure your safety again with the caveat that your only goal is to move from point A to point B and not actually have a ship that can do anything else.
Time consuming accomplishment though if your goal is to spend ten years not playing a game to explore 10000 instances that have 50 essential variations. A world record no doubt right up their with filling a room with sand 1 grain at a time way to go you did it! Next up wrapping your house in 10000000 inches of yarn these wild and crazy over achievers!
