ArcheAge's upcoming Unchained release was originally set to go live September 30th. However, via a press release by developer gamigo, the game has been delayed till October 15th.

    Good to give folks more time. Most casual WoW players will be raidlogging by the 15th so theyll be looking for another game.

    There was also a stream tonight and it seems they have already changed their alt policy from allowing 3 alt accounts, but only one online at a time to allowing them all to be logged in at the same time (multi-boxing) as long as automation isn’t used.

    If they are already changing key policies at this stage, it makes me wonder what else is going to be changed. The red flags were already up after allowing 3 alt accounts due to the way AA works and now this...

    I think you're still stuck in the Wrath of the Lich King years if you think "casual WoW players" matter in the slightest to what another MMO does.

    or maybe give a launch date when the game is actually ready to launch :)

    I think watching the mound of dimwits returning to Archeage for yet ANOTHER "fresh start" expecting a big change will be more entertaining than playing the game.

    Switching to B2P doesn't change the issues that made post-Alpha Archeage obnoxious, the changes they've made are creating NEW problems, and they're reneging on several things they announced.

    Right now you'd be a fool to not schedule around classic wow for your launches.

    So, it gets 15 days QA and some last minute policy changes. Borderlands 3 with UnderMine on the side it is then.

    Guys, guys....we all know the real reason they are delaying all of this. They are simply threatened by the release of Astellia Online and are......sorry I couldn't stop my uncontrollable laughter while thinking all of that up to finish.

    If it wasn't for the heavy PvP focus in a tab-target game I would be interested.  I played AA for a month and enjoyed the systems it has, but when the endgame devolves into just ganking randos just for the lulz it gets boring fast.  PvP games need complex systems to drive PvP objectives, and AA is just PvP for PvP's sake.

    Test, evaluate, do whatever you need. Just understand there are some of us that are so disillusioned in what AA has become it is difficult to get remotely excited about AA U. Maybe at a later date when there is hard evidence of a profound and consistent improvement.

    Although it was fun finding and ganking BOTs as often as possible.

    If they are fixing the p2w problem that has plagued this game since launch then the delay is good. They basically have 1 shot at this. They need to make sure the game state is good and the servers are stable.

    If there is p2w the new model will die horribly. If they actually remove it all... they better have more then 1 server per region on standby for overflow.

    You have 2 weeks to play AA:U in the test server and the cash shop is also in the test server so you can check it is p2w or not.

    Frankly without written legally binding guarantees - what they release at launch doesnt mean diddly poo when they can simply go back on their word and go heavy P2W after the initial sales drop 
    This is what Trion did essentially. The cash shop in the original launch of AA had nowhere near as many pay to win elements, but a month or two in they started adding the rare materials into the shop (I remember the thunderstruck log uproar).
