Standards must have to be really low for games when it comes to VR. If this wasn't a VR MMO would anyone even bother with it.

I'm curious what their locomotion/movement will be.  Cyperpunky stuff on land seems a bit too fast paced of a genre for VR at the moment.

So basically, they raised a lot more than they asked for, but still not nearly enough to make the game they wanted?

Yeah, they appear to be about $30M or $40M short.

Oh well, nothing 10 years of continuous crowd funding and development can't overcome.

Wait, they planned to make a VR MMO with a budget of just $25,000?

:checks KS page: Oh, they have 'investors', their financial future is tied to the game, and they are using SpatialOS to speed up development... why does all of this sound so familiar?

The military (U.S. for certain) have been ruinning combat sims in VR for a decade now. Not a hug jump to games.

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

The lore is fabulous; we learn that the Mineko are from a distant land so they don't have to show it. But we do learn that the only thing that sets them off is dogs. Who does the lore for games these days? The tea boy?

Sounds like they 'borrowed' that from Terminator films, where the thing that 'exposed' Terminators disguised as humans was phideaux, mans best friend :p

Yeah, but you ever see how much the military pays for their VR "rigs?"

One simulator can cost $25K easy with some being much more.

It says " Most successful VR game kickstarter" and it occurred to me that wasn't a hard hurdle to overcome.
