When I, and probably everyone else, think of Gears of War, the first thing that comes to mind is just how badass Marcus Fenix is. The dude was a wrecking ball throughout the original trilogy. Even though another man bearing the Fenix name is the main protagonist in Gears of War 4, Marcus still finds a way to steal the show. Now, with Gears 4 under their belt, developer The Coalition was ready to mix things up a bit with Gears 5.

    I think it's a great game. It was the most fun I've had with gears since the first 2. The story was fun, and the open world idea was a neat addition.

    I'm sure they are fixed by now but the bugs really made me irritated though. I had so many infinite saves and random things just breaking during the first couple of days, like while fighting a boss it decided I could no longer run, roll or get in cover. Or the time it decided I no longer had any collectibles.

    I've tried to like the game, hard. And failed. Even though the story was nice, characters are good and the setting is great - gameplay itself is boring. Uninstalled immediately after campaign. This game is a good competitor for The Division 2 - to get the title "The Best Sitting Behind Wall Simulator 2019".

    Also they've killed horde and escape modes by hardcoding classes to characters.

    Pass on this one, no reason to think its not even more underwhelming than the previous one, which is a shame because the earlier Gears were half decent games.
