Good luck playing dailys every single day... no fun at all just dailys...

It is sad that they turn this way. ArchePass quests should've just reward one or two diligence coins or something instead of Gold. Golds were supposed to be backed by Labors that is being consumed in order to obtain it... And now if you're not doing your dailies, you are going to miss such a big chunk of laborless free Gold and you will be falling behind.

Might as well rename it to ArcheAge: Dailychain

I am also on the fence. I guess I'm waiting for things to settle down in terms of population to get a solid feel of how the game has changed... if at all.

No mention of the Archepass system; the greatest flaw in my opinion.

Ignoring the major abuse of it already that allowed many players/guilds to gather massive amounts of gold at the start of Archeage Unchained, marginalizing any other economical gameplay content, the system itself just downplays any "sandbox" aspect of the game of logging in and doing what you want to do. If that was going out just fishing, trading, or enjoying whatever aspect of Archeage you wanted without being required to grind specific aspects of the game for Diligence coins and progression. And many hours of grind at that.

The class system is meh. There's always meta classes. You basically have five roles: Tank, Healer, Melee, Archer, Mage. There is not 220 "viable" classes. You pick a role and can interchange some skillsets easily enough, gear is the factor that decides you're overarching Role really. There are no real hybrids.

I believe you can find some fun in AA:U playing casual as long as you don't mind being uncompetitive and ignore the "political" spectrum of the game.

    Meh. 2/10.

Not balanced enough for buy 2 play and horrible release ( I judge it harsher there compared to a themepark simply because it's focus and main draw being competitive open-world faction PvP and Land-owning Dynamics).

Here they had a chance at showcasing some of the strengths of AA such as freedom to not stay on rails.... and they totally killed that with the shit archepass system that turns it into a daily quest grind.

    Just awful.

They literally took all that made AA special and different curbstomped it and replaced it with the dumbest system you can imagine.

Bravo XL and Gamigo, you had a chance but chose to completely shit all over it.

Is it worse than GW2 dailies? All I did the last month of playing GW2 was dailies and log off. It made me hate the game. Towards the end of my first stent with AA, I would log in and do gilda dailies. They weren't horrible, possibly due to the nature of the game being so different. I have no idea what the Archepass even is. I asked here but no one would say.

I want the ArchePass sorting out and I'm sure they are working on a solution at this very moment but what I really want sorted first is the crashing during massive raids. I literally, just this second, froze in the middle of a tower defense world boss... and I was helping to lead the 100 person raid lol. Now I'm No. 1700 in a queue.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I just watched a video on it. It doesn't seem horrible. Seems that people who probably aren't even playing the game are using it as another excuse to bitch.

That's part of the reason I'm waiting until things get smoothed out. Stuff like that would really piss me off as I'm sure pisses you off as well.

No, they are better than GW2 dailies. ArchePass quests are weekly now anyway, they just changed it. They can get boring but at least the rewards are very worthwhile, unlike in GW2.

Basically, you choose a reward track and are given quests at random that reward gold, xp and archepass xp. You get more rewards each time you gain an archepass level. At the moment, you can reroll the quest you were given for free 6 times a day and can complete 100 archepass quests each week. The quests can be anything from gain 2000 honor to kill 20 enemies in a certain zone to kill a world boss.

There's an optional premium pass that you can buy for your chosen track that gives more rewards (all cosmetic). The premium rewards are retroactive though so you can finish a track first and, if you want to, get the premium pass to get all the cosmetic rewards.

The cosmetics on offer aren't convincing me I'll ever want to buy a premium pass, personally. I'd rather strut around in my armor, fanks.

They allowed people to come back that used this exploit... they now have 6k+ gear scores and 1 shot lvl 55s easily... sad. Their response was at least it didnt go into the economy

Keep in mind, this isn't our full review, simply Red's weekly column. @Jensyn is hard at work reviewing the whole game and we'll have that soon.

    Cheers!

Let's not kid ourselves here dailies or no dailies the only way you're going to be at the top of the leaderboard is if you're one disabled and don't work 2. jobless 3. living your parents basement or 4. can or is willing to dedicate 20 hours a day to the game. So my recommendation is to play the game the way you want to play it and enjoy it and forget about having to do all these dailies you'll get there eventually just like me who works 40 plus hours a week

It is not just dailys from archpass its from every daily quest it is just too much....you pay game to spend 90% of time to do dailys...LOL
  • PartieplayinPartieplayin Member UncommonPosts: 93
No one is forcing you to do the dailies tho, that's the part I don't understand .everyone wants instant gratification these days and I think that's what this really boils down to. If you could buy the diligence stuff with cash then people would be complaining about that.a daily login reward for some amount of diligence coins would be a nice thing they could do for all the returning players who once again are supporting AA

Except besides the Archepass they have literally made this game what people wanted for fucking years. No p2w, hard stance on cheaters, good reasonable labor gated progression. These bullshit comments you make are one of the worst things I see on this site.

Quit the game. After they sold enough accounts they seem to have stopped caring.
Reasons - bugs and exploits, too many to count. They did no valid testing or fixed it on time.
Way too many dailies turned it into themepark, Archeage should be sandbox. It is nice to have many choices but they made it too grindy and obligatory to do dailies not to lose progress.

They also forgave the people which missused exploits and announced they will not release new server with healthy economy and fixed game, thats spitting in the face of average players.
Not sure what their reasons are, but Gamigo is burning down its own servers.
