The veil was finally pulled back on the next chapter of the World of Warcraft story, as the team at BlizzCon showcased today the premiere of its upcoming expansion, Shadowlands.

    Nothing that entices me to subscribe again, but good cinematic & I always enjoyed WoW's stories. It is just a shame at what Blizzard has seemingly become lately.

    It's a shame that there are practically no MMORPGs worth playing outside of WoW, unless you want something that is more like an ARPG, in which case Guild Wars 2 is "amazing."  Apart from that, there is nothing as good as this, and as long as they handle the "class identity" issues, they should be good.

    Will probably come back for this.

    Also, the woeful statements about what BLizzard has become and how there is nothing for you people are getting a bit comedic.  If you aren't interested, GTFO and go browse another thread.

    I can’t wait for this expansion myself. I usually play about 4-5 months of wow each year. I have to say the only other great mmorpg I’ve gotten into lately ( waaay late to this train btw) SWTOR. I’m following in love with it. From the stories to world building, housing and space combat. Plus it’s Star Wars lol.

    If anyone goes back to WoW, it'll be because they have so much invested in the game at this point they just can't let it go by.

    Watching that Shadowlands trailer, (Not the cinematic trailer. Those were ALWAYS cool.) it made me realize how dated the engine was. Still glad I left when they Panda'd up.

    I've said it before but no matter what you think about the games the cinematic trailers are top notch. They could make a full movie and I would probably watch it.

    The expansion looks good but don't think it is something I would come back for. I was hoping for new classes. I am happy they did a level squish. That was definitely needed.

    I am excited for the level squish because I love leveling. I just want some challenge while leveling. That is why classic is so great. Make gear matter again, If everything is so easy why bother gearing up.

    Classic: Level all the way up to level 60!

    Retail: Level all the way up to level 60! Wait why am I trying to get the same levels?

    I will state, even though I've got no plans to resubscribe, I did find it seemingly better my second view/read through. I'm also really impressed with the way that Blizzard's Ian something addressed things during a BlizzCon Shadowlands presentation I caught online.

    how is sylvannas so powerfull that can single handle the lick king? bleh , tired of making characters so powerfull that nothing makes sense anymore .

    Well she had help from that op chained guy from the maw (jailer) who never let one of the baddest soul escape xD

    Cant wait. I would love to play other mmo's but there's none. ofc there's FF14 but I dont like weeb mmo's so the only quality option is WoW

    They seem to make expansions smaller and smaller. Lame. 2 small zones compared to all of the other good expansions like Wotlk, Legion etc. All have many new zones. Now they give you 2 small zones. they are jsut going more with telling a story instead of actual game play. It is a game after all not just a story.. Make new classes or races availbe. NEW skill sets etc etc. man WoW bugs me. I stopped playing.

    What are you smoking? They announced 5 new zones among numerous other things.

    Seems like it all happend after the Arthas was defeated:

    Q: Did the Jailor see Sylvanas as a threat?
    A: We will find out during the story that Sylvanas's dealings with the Jailor started when she threw herself off of Icecrown in Edge of Night. She helped Varian in Legion as a way to thrust herself into a position of power.

    Maybe the burned the Teldrassil for all the souls that will be sucked directly into the Maw. This is presumably giving the Jailor power and that power is being shared with Sylvanas (which is how she got the power she used to beat the Lich King).
