ugh , if they want to make a Diablo MMO do it right
Very few ARPG's made in the last 5+ years have an "Offline Mode". A game does not need to be classified as an MMO to be an online multiplayer game which is where the ARPG Genre has been moving toward.
It's fine to dislike this, but don't act like blizzard is trying to do something revolutionary when most ARPG's are in the same boat.

He knows when developers are lying and when they are telling the truth. He is a combination of Nostradamus, the little kid from The 6th Sense and Santa Clause.

So far you have contributed zero useful anything, but instead just feel like shit talking a person you clearly do like.
You can solo if you wish and never group for dungeons, but open world events will have bosses that cant be soloed.
Also the game is at least 3 years away - so what features get added or get cut is anyone's guess.
One thing is sure - the graphics will be overhauled but there will be changes to some features for sure - something might get cut or replaced by something entirely new.

I think that it is coming alot sooner than 3 years, TBH id expect it b4 2021 as its been worked on for a while now already...
only thing that worries me is are they gonna do a fallout76 and totally backpedal on the no Pay 2 Win microtransactions they did say only cosmetic and no P2W in a Q n A!
Also they did have a playable demo area for D4 at blizzcon so its further along than suggested! people like kripparian have streamed it on twitch

They scrambled to make this playable alpha concept because they F'd up so bad with "you guys have phones" that they needed something big to show this year.
But no - D4 is nowhere near being completed and I think that what it ends up being will be very different than what they showed
But it was gonna get announced last blizzcon tho dude but was pulled last second, this game will need to be out within 2 years because games like wolcen (carnt wait for this) lost ark (meh) last epoch (looks alright) and many more changes to path of exile are sure to come, blizzard need a new title out within the next 2 years because they havent really put anything our for a while now (i dont really count expacs as a full game)!
I was part of the backing for Wolcen but did not take part in any of the Alpha/Beta testing. In the beginning the game seemed terrible and I regretted backing it. Then it looked better but just a cheap copy of Diablo (again what it seemed I did not play it). Last I looked it seemed better, but I am not hyped for it like I already am for d4 and I hated d3 (pre-ordered that one but gear grind which is a staple was too much with the Elite mobs crushing me easily on release)

When someone says the same ting over and over in multiple posts, not once muttering the phrase "in my opinion", it's fair to come to the conclusion that he is passing off bullshit as fact. Anyone who disagrees with him is wrong, naive, white knighting, etc. They don't have a different opinion, they are wrong. I'd say 20% to 25% of all AAU posts made are him spewing conjecture and defending it. Again, that goes beyond "opinion".
As long as there is no real money auction house crap...
Strange, the feature that I actually loved and missed from D3 is the real money AH.
Made so much money selling items on it.
Although I personally never used the RMAH, its really a feature that didn't bother me. Game companies are looking for new ways to get into a gamer's pocket and at least with rmah some legitimate players were actually able to profit. I suppose one of the biggest argument would be the botters and farmers, but those will be around forever.
