    I got used to false ads with FPS games in third-person view so it's not clear if Plan8 is first- or third-person view shooter?

    Originally, it was supposed to be a prequel to BDO but along the lines it got changed to a standalone game. It's supposed to be having a single player campaign on top of the mmo part.

    I think a major problem from pearl's standpoint is they have a PVP game where over 90% of the player-base will do anything to avoid PVP.  Rather than get the point, they have decided that they want to ingrain PVP into their new system far more tightly by going RVR.

    Also most BDO medium spenders have bought everything they actually need.  If they want the same level of money, they have to have the players re-buy everything. Only way to do that is a new game.

    But the biggest issue is that they have maxed out the current engine with all the areas they have opened.  The servers are chugging badly, and they can't add more to the game without it causing a lot of problems.  A lot of times it is far cheaper to build from scratch than it is to extend what you currently have. 

    Another issue they have is that they have subletted the property in a lot of countries and they want the control back.  One method is cancelling the agreements as they run out, which is something they have done in some countries but it is a total mess at that point.  It would be far easier to sidestep things and just not sublet to kakao and other companies with the new game.

    Black Desert looked so amazing till you played great combat but just a grind.

    Stunning visuals. It would be a shame if they didnt learn anything from their mistakes in Black Desert.

    If Crimson Desert is just a single player game, I would be very excited. But something tells me it will be multiplayer as a form of monetization.

    If I had to take a quiz right now, after watching that trailer, which asked me to summarize what the story was about... I would be completely blank. I really tried to pay attention, but I have NO IDEA what the story was supposed to be. They are so bad at storytelling, that company. It's like random nonsense. Game looks pretty though... like an absolute clone of BDO.

    The story, the use of "the north", Jon Snow and the girl who he loved all look like this game ripped off of to make a "new" story

    I would not mind somewhat of a clone of BDO. If it was improved. Combat and graphics BDO did well but let’s face it they missed the mark on ALOT. That game actually could have been much more. Keep in mind they profited over 1 billion so imagine if they took the feedback for crimson. Also as someone that likes crafting... please please no afk crafting .. wth? Just no please. Thank you.

    lol I uhhh... I want to be excited for Plan 8, but that trailer suuuure as hell reminds me of Anthem minus the Iron Manning... I always feel the need to cringe when I see "actual in-game footage" laid over a bunch of cinematic crap. Cinematics look decent, but I didn't see any gameplay at all.

    There is always the off chance they designed this game well but after seeing/playing BDO i have very little hope because BDO was a complete botch job.

    Trailer looks cool that is about all i can say until i see more and actual game play.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    The point is basically to sell BDO all over again.

    Also, a mix of BDO, Skyrim and Monster Hunter World, with perhaps a bigger focus on story seems like something that would keep players in the game for a long time => more cash for PA.
