When I was 13 my friends and i bought the very frist D&D rule books. ( i am 34 now) We decided that My friend Glenn would DM. What happen was in his frist adventures, we would start in an Inn or tavern, nothing would be going on interesting, but we would get the quest and go to the dungon. Afterwards we would return and get our reward. Then again the same thing happened, and again. After some time of these rince and repet dungons the players revolted and we got a new DM. We learn to RP and had fun ever sence..... One of my close freinds quit DDO last week , i asked him why? ( I was thinking of quiting myself ) ..His answer was " Man! its a frecking Glenn dungon. " .. I told him that i agree..

Sooo True
Makes you wonder who on earth Turbine had as their GM so that they screwed things up so badly!
This game reminds me of a fancy looking Pacman!
For the RP sessions we used more fitting settings, like Paranoia, Pendragon and Middle Earth (even though I hated the Rolemaster rules, too many tables to look up).
Best roleplaying experiences were Paranoia and later the WoD games from White Wolf.
Ahh...we actually used the Paladium rule set for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" or Hero System for "Heroe's Unlimited".
TMNT was one of the most fun games I've ever rp'd. Road Hogs ftw!!
