Rift Development Has Not Stopped, Says Gamigo Community Manager
A community manager for Rift has assured the community that development for the game has not stopped.

Outside of old holiday events being activated, the last "content-update" was the battle pass season 2 in September....Which has you doing old content....Before that? Battle pass season 1 in April.....hard at work indeed....
So, which is it:
- Incompetent, slow and lazy developers, as per "While our development team is hard at work and reading your feedback.." which more than 1 year has gone and nothing was added.
OR
- Gamigo is straight up lying about the state of the game, which has no one working on the game whatsoever (or perhaps one lonely dev/engineer for when server needs restart).

Both if you look at AA:U atm. I just feel bad for the people thinking because the game would be b2p that it would be a 'better experience.' They were warned about Gamigo and now gamigo has their money.
And I was about to give them a chance and get AAU... but my gut feeling is that i was fooled once, but would not be fooled again.

Now they feel the need to say otherwise?
Why would they fear such a thread if it wasn't true,do they have proof,is there a test realm server?
Why would they feel the need to tell us they are working on the game,wouldn't that be expected?
What bothered me the most about Rift was not that it was a very average release,that was expected fro ma rather newcomer in the market.Nope what bothered me is similar to how i feel about CCP,they made a lot of money and did almost NOTHING to improve the game.
Their goal was impossible expectations,they figured a large peripheral market from the TV series and the game.Too much thought went into the vision of making money instead of spending it to create a HQ product.
Their RIFT idea was cool,very poorly implemented,TOO CHEAP looking.If they put a LOT more effort into the RIFT idea that game could have been a top dog for many years to this day.So just like i see a lot of in sports,i see a lot of bad management in gaming as well.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
All games under GAMIGO's umbrella are in Maintenance mode. Nothing more. Nothing less.
That's it! They have no game developers whatsoever! That is just an outright lie!

Now... I don't know how -anyone- can read that and translate it to community managers telling developers to stop working on the game. It clearly says to direct bug reports to the appropriate bug report forum or to relay it through the community managers themselves instead of directly bothering devs who are focusing on other things (take that as you will). The thread was closed because he clearly misunderstood, but went on to post false information anyway. This article only helps perpetuate that.
