    > Red Dead Online feels incomplete

This one is completely correct but these

    > Launched inexcusably broken
    > Microtransactions

are irrelevant. Team fixed some stuff already (but also left tons of non-breaking defects still in place) + MTX don't affect anything unless a person is really, really bad at controlling expenses. Also you can get premium currency somewhat easy through quests and dailies.

The worst defect of the Online part - zero co-op (outside of handful story quests). And considering turtle pace at which R* add "content" (i.e. new types of instanced PvP matches) - Online part seems to be *years away* from being interesting, unless you play with friends and/or really like to play solo (but then why even go Online?)

    Thank you for your time!

Jedi Fallen Order got a 9/10 and RDR II only a 8/10 ?

Single player part of RDR II is much much better than Jedi Fallen Order, concerning technical quality, gameplay, features and game length. An additional and to most people unimportant multiplayer stuff shouldn't lower the score.
If RDR II deserves a 8/10 then Jedi Fallen Order rating should not be more than 7/10. Which sounds about right to me in that case for both games.

For posters about to go on about the score, I don't understand why you expect consistency, any review is a very personal project. Your evaluation is consistent to yourself but not necessarily to others, I would go JFO 7 and RDR 8. JFO only scoring a 7 because it is too short. But that's just us, others will differ.

Are they the same people reviewing them? Do they both approach games the same way?

Stop looking at numbers. This is the biggest downfall for reviews. People scream for numbers that are highly subjective and then when they don't see "their favorite number" they fall to pieces.

Look at what's being said. Ignore the number. Look ... at ... what's ... being ... said.

That will inform you properly or at least set you on the right track depending on your preferences/concerns.

Also, they are different types of games I think right? Jedi Fallen Order really isn't a full blown rpg.

so gameplay/features/game length are going to be different. Technical quality is another thing. But apparently this game was crashing a lot at pc release so not sure why you want to tout technical quality.

Wait, actually *read* the content and don’t fixate on some arbitrary number? What a radical notion

8/10? What a joke. This game is at least a B+, which would equate to at least an 85, which would equate to an 8.5. So this “8/10” is just false. I never thought I’d say this, but this review is fake news. Try actually playing the game next time! (/sarcasm)

This is either a joke or you need to practice more silence with your fury.

Thank you for the excellent write-ups. I will definitely be getting this game at some point, but I always feel like open world games, be it the Witcher 3, this, GTA, whatever it may be, are always worth waiting a few months if you expect a bug free experience. Yes, this title release more broken than others, but regardless of the game, it's always so much improved a couple to a few months down the line..sometimes drastically. I'd rather wait for things to improve for something with so much potential. In the meantime, I have so much on my plate between the 2nd half of DOS2 on PC or Asgard Wrath on the Rift that I don't have time to play this game lol. Anyway, these articles help shape my desire to one day play, so thanks!

Yeah, fallout 76 got a good 7/10, so it make sense that this game gets a 8/10. Jedi Fallen Order got a 9/10 ...lol ? As a result, many of the ratings you get here aren't credible.

Amazing how three different games from three different reviewers were critiqued completely differently. Almost like a review is an individual’s subjective opinion

I have to say this is an excellently written review and I think you articulated your points nicely. This game will be added to my Steam library when it goes on sale and I’m looking forward to getting lost in the small moments and story.

Appreciate you taking the time to read it. Glad you found it helpful!
