    I have SATA SSD on my laptop and apparently this drive (or similar) can load stuff almost twice faster through USB 3.1 port. Very interesting.

    M.2 is a form factor. It assumes that it's used internally only and doesn't have proper protection that you could make external M.2 slots or devices.

    This reviewed SSD likely has something that's very close to an M.2 drive, just packaged differently for external use.
