Hi, I was just wondering how this game is doing? I haven't played in a full year, and I was wondering if there's enough action to warrant coming back to it.
How are the battles? Still huge like 400 man fights, or has it dwindled into Guerilla Warfare?
Waiting for something fresh to arrive on the MMO scene...

When I got my Station Access, I found myself playing Planetside a lot more than any other games. And I do not think I was alone, there was always a battle somewhere, and islands capped on a regular basis, so...
Yep its doing quite nicelly. A lot more fun than the other SOE games.

It should be thrown with great force"

It's not funny, it's not clever, and it WILL break if you play with it.

Naa it is still fun if you liked it before. I just recently came back and I have to say there are alot more people on now becuase of teh free trial. i mean even in teh morning there are very large scale battles going on when about 6 months ago they were usually small fights.
One thing though, I have been seeing alot more BFR's since i reactivated.

Nah
BFR's are much more rare now than they were a few months ago. Even in huge fights you don't see very many. 5 months ago it wasn't unusual to see armies of the damn things. Now you'll only see 2 or 3 in a really big battle. I've seen entire base caps done with huge armies on both sides and not a single BFR gets used. They're a lot more rare now than they were before the changes. Though the decimator changes may bring some of them back.

Still in: A couple Betas
Ever since the new free Reserves program, the number of larger battles happening at the same time has increased. The larger outfits of organized players are back. As a result, it is not unusual to drive over a hill into a tank column or large group of aircraft bearing down on you. This, of course, is the reason to play the game.
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

YOU MUST HAVE SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH
IMO, this is not a solo game, there are plenty of outfits to join.
Arent that many BFRs nowadays, Ive only seen 5 or 6 attacking a base at most.
Id suggest coming back.
It's definitely fun to play again now. I just re-subbed to planetside this weekend.
We had FOUR locked continents at one point on Emerald....
And no lag whatsoever WOOHOO
PS: I have never, in the entire time I have played Planetside, seen 4 locked continents. Have to say I love the reserves program. It's done wonders for the game. Now all they need to do is implement the changes they have in development now That'll really make the game special.
It was fun watching D2A and Sturmgrenadier stage our assault the other night. We had a full armor collumn rolling along with a full wing of aircraft for the assault... Very cool
Even if you don't BUY the game, a Planetside Reserves account is very much worth getting. After all, it's free. And while some carp about BR6 it is pretty fun.

I have to agree, I used to play in beta, then i played live for about a year, then i had to quit because real life took over.
Used to play on Johari, which is now part of the Markov Server.
I came back about a year ago, and man BFRs EVERYWHERE! now there are only a few per raid, which i see as a massive improvement..
I will definitely be playing througought the year, and if anyone has a good outfit that is pretty serious, ill gladly recreate for any faction and play.
right now im NC.
