wow WoW Alpha leaked.

Sigh once again the geeks wreak havoc upon the gaming companies. I wouldn't even bother going to the WoW forums for this 1, just 30 spammed threads mostly titles"alpha leaked! how can i get it" well U DON'T, i hate those people who do this, yes we all know we all can't wait for beta tests and releases but the alpha stage is bit on the extreme side of things. fortunately for Blizzard and all of us, the leak won't make a diff to anything probably except we will have alot more info on the game hopefully

but i'd have prefered the wait, till a beta which is supposed to start soon....oh wait i forgot i live in AUS(see what the spell cheaker does for that 1 lol...hmmm not funny acctually) i can't get into the WoW beta.....oh well hey wheres that alpha at now? But really somethin should be done bout people who go do this..... any suggestions? i think we should use them in catapults

why would anyone want the alpha? i doubt the servers are up yet...

The question that springs to my mind is ...

Why did Valve and Blizzard have pre-release code sitting on machines that had a physical connection to the internet?

It striked me as VERY POOR security.

Hmm.. not a bad idea considering if you spread everyone out in canada there would only be 5 people per kilometer. Too bad they'd freeze before they hit the ground

Well people would want the alpha for 2 reasons,1)they can get bassiccly all the info on WoW from it that they want. 2)It is possible for them to make a server. Also i heard someone saying on the WoW boards that u can acctually get into the Blizzard alpha testing and most likely not even be noticed u being there cause of the ammount of people and that they wouldnt have thought any1 could get in it.... ooops too late now i guess.

They should make laws against cheating in MMORPG's (unless designated cheating server) so that we can put the $%^&*'s in jail

Blizzard has always been good about keeping cheatsout of the game and perma-banning any hackerscaught in the process.
Anyways! It's messed up about ppl getting a hold
of the alpha version of WOW.

I hope I see it!

Actually, Battle.Net has a NOTORIOUS reputation for being hackable. They try to clamp the problem down, but the reality is that haxxoring Blizzard games is a rampant problem. This is one area where Blizzard does not have a positive reputation.

But remember WoW won't have anything to do with battle.net, and also there was nothing stopping hacking in diablo, no peoplerunning around banning people, because it was on such a small scale that your hacking didnt effect many people, whereas hacking in WoW would effect a massive amount of people, and then you get banned cause it's stupid, and they still take ur $15 for that month.

Well apparently WarForge has in 3 days set up their own server for the thing, some screenshots at http://home.no/lagra/ the thing though for them it's really just a ORPG, cause aint no1 else cept them in there, so thats gotta be a bit lame right? better not delay the beta is all i can say.
