Hi,
Was wondering if there were any Dan Brown fans out there. I really enjoyed all of his bboks and think they will adapt well to the big screen. The Davinci Code will be the first movie ive seen, that I actually read the book first. Of course I will nit pick and critique the adaptation, but hey thats part of the fun! Ron Howard and Tom Hanks! How could they miss? Well, atleast lets hope they dont.

The movie certainly has the right people behind it. But again, it turns out for the worse usually.
I agree,
His books are very fast paced, but enjoyable to read. Dont get me wrong there are always parts in his books where im thinking gimme a break. Thats why I think his impeccable research and a bit of unbelievability would work great for the big screen!
I'm a big fan of Brown's. I love the pacing his books have, and the always interesting mix of fact and fiction, he has such a talent to relate real world and fantasy.
And I think your bang on there Vilendl, it's probably a good reason why his books will translate very well to film.
I plan on going to see DC this weekend with some friends, I'm a little worried about the adaptation but I love Tom Hanks and truly believe he can play just about any role and make the audience fall in love with him.
Oh well, can't wait to see .

Hi shae,
While im on the book club mode may I make a suggestion. Jonathan Kellerman's "Gone" (I think I spelled his name right). It took me a second to adapt to his writing style, but now he has got me hooked. Im about halfway through it and still don't have a clue who dunnit. Anyone who has suggestions on some good thriller's to read I would appreciate it.
very cool, I'll make a list of it and check it out on my book pick up trip.
Depending on what your into, I'm reading Jennifer Teilman's: Midnight Exodus series at the moment. It's 5 books put into 2 novels but I think you can buy all 5 seperately, best way I can really explain it is that it's a gothic vampire'ish version of the davinci code strangely enough. The description doesn't do it much justice but it's a wonderful read if you like that kind of thing.

Diablo2
Guildwars (Get to lvl 20)
I was just telling my fiance that this might be the first movie where I am going into see it apprehensively because of how much I enjoyed the book. She asked me about the Lord of the Rings movies, but I did not have the same feelings because of the scope that the movie would have to cover (but it definatley beat what I thought it would be). The Da Vinci Code though...I already have high expectations because I know this should be easy to make into a good movie.
BTW: Dan Browns other books (which I enjoyed just as much)
Angels and Demons (The introduction of Robert Langdon to us)
Deception Point
Digital Fortress
