While interesting, as usual it seems like the most over-complicated system possible for gambling. Touche Eve.

I quite enjoyed SomerBlink so i think I can get behind this. Especially if it means getting my stuff instantly.

Sadly, this isn't as exciting as SomerBlink used to be. I think the issue is the fact that there is no standard price for each raffle, and that the person who posts the raffle can buy raffle tickets for it. I have been doing this in game and have made a frigging killing by covering my ticket losses with an increase in the price of the item. If I lose, I get the value of the item back + some, if I win, I get the isk + the item. It is a win frigging win and easily abused.
The biggest issue here is going to be when people manipulate the markets to show an estimated price of an item many billions over what it is actually worth. People will buy a ticket thinking they are getting in on it for the cheap only to realize they've been had.

Is it not obvious? Combined with the recent announcement of them allowing their own developers to play, this gambling by another name allows them to make more real life money from ripping off their vict...paying customers.

It's not surprising, CCP has always had a long history of being hypocritical when it comes to any decisions for EVE, whether business or in game mechanics.

It really is sad EVE has fallen so far. Especially when space games are in high demand these days, EVE could capitalize on it, but instead they choose to fade away.
