I'm not sure it's rolled out to PlayStation yet if you're playing on PSVR. I was just reading reddit and several players on PS4 report they haven't received the update yet.
    Yep, PSVR....Thanks for the info!

looks neat. I will stick with Ableton Live though :) sounded a bit like Guitar center.. lol

Other than for fun I doubt it was created to replace Ableton lol.

Remember when NMS was looked down upon and called things like "One Man's Lie"?

Yeah, congrats Hello Games, you've fully flipped that table.

well i always liked NMS even from the beginning its the reason i upgraded my computer to play with more fidelity, i just think that they should release official mods for the last bit of update for steam/platform its on to let players make the narrative, this would allow them to put this down into maintenance mode for a while and work on their next big game (NMS sequel).

I don't play NMS and not really like synth music and sequencers... with that in mind, Kano nailed it at the start, this really IS awesome.

Because every system and mechanic which gives room for player creativity and "downtime" fun should be welcomed even if you don't use them personally.
It can give additional layers of activities within the game, and can improve the community as well, has the chance of bringing in new players, musicians in this example (even just to compare it with Ableton, Prime :) ), etc.

For instance LotRO profited a lot from its own music system, and that too started just as a dev's pet project... similar systems can bring much more on the long run than a new class (or planet...) or some combat overhaul, etc.

Considering that Elite Dangerous hides ship plans and Thargoid planet site locations in sound files, you might find more in audio files than meets the eye/ear ;-)

I am a huge fan of chip music

This is the tune that made me an instant fan -1986 Arkanoid Commodre64 version - still one of the greatest chiptunes and still gives me goosebumps.
Imagine the SID composer community will discover this, though the programming might be different, on the other hand (if they can use a lot of these bytebeatboxes instead of the 3 modules the SID had) they could make a lot more complex tunes... I might've said above I don't really like synth music, SID (and C-64) is the exception. Can't wait the music they will create :)

Many of the veterans are still active too, I think Tel for example. Someone should make his AfterBurner on these byte beats, since the game has jetpacks, space ships etc.  https://youtu.be/mM-IdGE51f8

On a long run it could end up as the best advertisement and awareness raiser for NMS... it's an awesome tool.
"and why would I want this" asked flizz earlier :)
