'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

After a year of talks CD Projekt has announced yesterday that they have signed agreement with Mr Sapkowski "further solidifying their relationship". The details of agreement, including whether or not Mr Sapkowski got the money he was asking for, will not be disclosed.

    CD Projekt announcement:

Copy of information CD Projekt is required to release as publicly traded company (there should be English version there):

If he felt like the contract only covered one game why didn't he speak up sooner?

This would be my argument on the defense, that he did consider it a fair contract.

However reading over the entire lawyers article i see that several articles of the law are in effect here.

So this whole ordeal seem to come about because CDProject Red is negotiating FULL use of all of the author's copyright. So this lawyer is sought out by the author and this is where the lawyer takes part and finds some loopholes in the laws that can claim the contract is not valid.

The "first in a series of games"is sketchy,i would think CDprojectred had full use of the Witcher work even including dlc's or expansions or whatever but his lawyer is somehow claiming not so.

The claim that 2% is too low is again sketchy,as the lawyer seems to be using past arguments brought up at one time in the courts that can allow a contract such as this to be void.

There is some sketchy wording by the lawyer that i would not have included because it comes off as almost blackmail when he goes on to tell Cdprojectred that they should pay quietly or he will make it public causing damage to CDproject and although an accurate statement it is not a bright move to come off sounding like blackmail.

What do i think will be the outcome?Well as typical laws are forever changing because of circumstances just like this, new lines will be added to cover specific new laws because they might feel people need more protection when signing contracts. My personal opinion is that the lawyer does NOT deserve it because of the time frame,it says that he has considered it FAIR for a very long time and that this is more about his lawyer seeking money.
I do however feel he is going to get his money in some manner, perhaps in a new contract handing over ALL rights legally.SO this lawyer is in a way blackmailing Cdproject red into giving his client a VERY good new contract for ALL works/copyright or ELSE !!.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
