"...fund of $420,000 from which eligible players may make a claim for a cash payment. The fund will also be used to pay settlement administration expenses, court-awarded service awards, and court-awarded attorneys’ fees and expenses."
After all the fees and expenses get taken out there's probably only going to be maybe $1000 left for player claims if they're lucky. I wouldn't be surprised if as little as $100 is left for players to split.
I'm eligible for this, but that's such a pathetically low amount for what must have been dozens of thousands if not more of founders who were owed that 10% off of post-launch purchases. Since I wasn't a whale, not worth my time for what will probably be less than $10.

Sad,as mentioned by others, your claim will likely be a pittance.Sounds like the majority of the suit based on Trion breaking the law and your claim as a gamer has to do with the 10%.
So yeah these laws exist more so as a cash grab but the victims are never the beneficiaries of the law.
Seeing how far back this goes ,loot boxes were already considering gambling, which to me is obvious. However is the law so shallow that the gambling part instead of making sense MUST contain the terms "loot box?".
I mentioned it years ago that Kingsisle opening of packs was gambling and so is the opening the card packs in TCG's.
Some how i bet a giant like Blizz/Activision are covered simply because they announce what you receive in terms of 1 guaranteed rare in every pack. However in terms of common sense, the goal is to attain a legend card but it is a GAMBLE weather you do or not,a very high and costly gamble. As well Blizz/Acti would simply claim that because they allow you to attain packs for free they are not liable but again all one has to do is look at the GAMBLING part,if you spend you are gambling.
Also reading it is filed under the unfair marketing and gambling division,WHY does it take a lawsuit,WHY are the government divisions such as the FTC not acting already on their own to uphold the law the way they are paid to do with tax payers dollars.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
It reminds me of Nvidia's class-action lawsuit settlement for their GTX970 3.5GB misleading debacle. GTX970 users (including myself) received a check in the mail for a hefty sum of $35 bucks.
The circumstance & the article is fascinating though regardless of outcome. It does seem like a spark, even if just 1, about protecting gamers'/consumers' rights.
You can always opt out of the class action and sue them in small claims court. I've won 3 small claims suits against game companies because none of them bothered to show up in court. Cost $53 here to file and you get that back on top if you win.

The biggest chunk probably went to the lawyers.
