Black Desert Mobile crossed 20 Million installs already

Black Desert Mobile Launch


Black Desert Mobile took the mobile market by storm. Loved by many, it has been able to captivate its player base like no other. Now, numbers reveal that the series is growing stronger and healthier than ever. The game made its way into mobile just two months ago, back in December. Since then, Black Desert Mobile has managed to surpass the 20 million installs mark. This was shown by Pearl Abyss US CEO, Jeonghee Jin, during a showcase of the game at Pocket Gamers Connect London 2020.  :D

    It's alright for a mobile MMO, but if a developer actually takes mobile MMOs seriously, we could have some really cool mobile games. Right now most of them are quick, autoplay crap.

    I installed it, took a cool screenshot then uninstalled it. Why am I being counted again? that number is just marketing noise. It would be more interesting to see how many are actively playing it and spending.

    I mean I get it, man, you love the game. You probably really really love the game. I think at this point, any regular on this forum knows it. There is no such thing as objectively the “best” MMO. Some people love BDO, some people hate it, some just dont care about it.

    What would it take for you to take a break from whatever it is you are doing here and just relax? I am not talking about making a thread like this, which is fine as long as you dont make it obvious its trolling with your emoticon at the end of your post, but you have been all over the place promoting BDO as the best thing since sliced bread for years now I believe.

    Maybe its just me, but a few years down the road, it could become a little annoying.



    Pearl Abyss is winning so hard right now it is really hard to even measure. They are hands down the #1 mmo developer in the world. 

    Black Desert is not only the best mmo on the market but it is also the most important mmo the market.  :p

    Just because you have a phone doesn't mean you HAVE to play games on it....I still prefer a nice big monitor with nice graphics.

    If your measurment of winning is how much money you can generate from a cash shop then Id say your probably correct.

    Sandbox - lol. 

    Literally every game system is on rails and heavily dependent on cash shop.

    It's a cashbox.
    Yeah pretty much on rails or so it seems. I’m not sure if you can go off anywhere. I don’t think it will stop you l, but not sure if there will be anything you can do. 

    I played it for a night and a half maybe made it to
    lvl 18 and tried out the arena. It was terrible.

    at this point I’m not sure why one would spend a lot, it’s really an afk slasher. With a bit of alright story.

     Most could just cruise around and enjoy if they story no problem.

    Was turned off by the auto play at first but in the end game it really becomes appreciated with the nature of how you go about raising your CP.  I was initially impressed with how many mechanics begin to unlock as you move through the story, but I didn't really begin to enjoy it until I played the Arena on PC.

    With the improved controls Arena actually becomes pretty fun.  Nice quick matches utilizing counters and CC immunity.  CP seems to play less of an issue today as well as I can now damage people much higher CP than I am.

    If you like character building, if you are a completionist or a collector, I'd say there is no better price for you than this one.  Honestly haven't spent this much time on a mobile game since Angry Birds and I think I enjoy this better than BDO.  The upgrade progress seems a lot more forgiving.

    Good for the investors wallets I guess. Horrible for the genre and actual gamers.

    Mobile MMOs actually doing well means less incentive for companies to actually you know make real games that are not horrible subpar autoplay cash grabs.

    I will play a mobile mmo when it is actually comparable to non-mobile titles with depth of content, complex mechanics, and no stupid autoplay bs.
