Is the game fun? I like Matrix, but Online! I want to try it but i dont want to buy it before i have tryed it how is the game? Do we walk in towns and buy things, or is it only fighting?
I played for a while, and it was a blast, but got very repetitive.
The game excells in its unique combat system, and the characters look awesome! The problem is with the repetitiveness that is seen within missions and buildings, but that is broken up because the community is fantastic, and very helpful.
I agree with Jypsy. I played for a few months after release. I had lots of fun until I relized that the missions became very repetitive. I am itching to try out the combat revamp, so I may resubscribe.
I myself loved the combat, but alot of people dont. The pvp was great, and the community is role play tastic. Almost full immersion into the Matrix world, just like the single player .hack games. ALTHOUGH! if your a quest monster, you will hate this game beyond belief. Every one is the same, with the same building too. See what i love about the towns is that you can really buy anything you want at any time, at lvl 3 i had my guy fully customized with his cowboy hat and snakeskin jacket( dam i was sexah! ) The only combat problem is that a random number is generate to see if you even get to attack, which means you can win and get your ass handed to you just by luck.

Have to second this review. Er, wait, someone already did -- so I'll third it.
MxO is a really nifty game. At first glance, it showed a lot of promise. But then, I ran out of new and unique stuff to do. Once I had hit around 30 missions, I felt the wear and tear of the playstyle beating me in the behind.
On the good side, The skills and specializations are done very well, and the introduction to the game is quite true to the Matrix. The action and combat are very well done, but you're really limited in what you can do with it.
Unfortunately, when my trial ended, I cancelled. Being a "hardcore" strategic PvPer, it's just not a good game for me. But people that love PvE and the Matrix story will really like the game. I will, however, be watching this game for long-term growth.
If this game gets some epic novel content, and perhaps some intruiging PvP, you're easily looking at one of the best MMOs out there -- no joke. But not before then.

To me MxO is only 1/3 of what the game should be. There should be:
More variety to the quests, more story driven.
When you jack out. You should actually goto your hovercraft and be able to walk around in it.
When jacked out. You should be able to fly/operate your hovercraft and take on the machines if they attack you.
If you are a member of a crew and your ship gets attacked, you should get a warning to jackout and help.
You should be able to live in/explore Zion.
You should be able to run missions to "free minds" in the human fields.
The game is just to linear and repetitive. I am a huge fan of the Matrix Trilogy. I really wanted to love this game. But it's an empty shell of what MxO should be.

I think you are thinking about another game. This is the MATRIX online not The Real world Online.

forgot about the truce?
He has some good ideas.....maybe they picked the wrong timeline for this game. It would have added some much needed depth to this game which it is badly lacking.
