3 factions to me is lol sad.
I complained about the lack of effort in factions games giving us 3 factions MANY years ago and seems nothing has changed or even improved.
Maybe on a BR map 3 factions would work but in a large world i need to see a minimum of 10+ factions, also with npc factions.Factions are also done in every single game as a PVP idea,so a LAZY idea.Factions should have their own economy, their own tech/crafts/climate and weather should matter.
Since they changed the game from pvp to more or less pve oriented, the faction idea should have died with it.This tells me this team is still not in direction, they might very well resort right back to full open pvp if the money isn't right. However if they actually put some effort into the faction idea and wasn't there mainly to fuel pvp then fine but i very highly doubt that was the case.
The purpose of your faction is to establish dominance....BORING.zzzzzz,who the hell wants to play another Eve online,i don't game for BRAGGING rights,i game to have fun and if possible relax while having fun.

Err, more than a few gamers enjoy "playing to crush," just not you Wiz.
The real purpose of factions is to give players an automatic "team" to be part of regardless of guild or alliance affiliations.
BTW, EVE's "factions" are illusionary and applicable only for lore reasons mostly, unless one takes part in "faction warfare" which is a very specific subset of the universe.
The real action occurs at the player alliance and above level.

Amazon need buy some experienced publisher/development team, looks like amateurs doing a MMO, we can buy on Steam RPGs with RPG Maker with concept better than New World
Everytime I read something about this game I have to shake my head. It seems that Amazon hired a bunch of inexperienced kids with little experience with online games. This might become a good game at some point, but right now it is not something you will want to experience. If the game stays around it will have major growing pains.

I don't know about the 'inexperienced kids' aspect. But certainly, there wasn't much thought about how people would/could use the systems. I'm sure Amazon understands things like "customer profiles". Maybe they should add some psychological data to that profile.

They should just REMOVE ALL PVP from this game and shut up the MINORITY PVPers! MMORPGs cannot and NEVER have been functionally stable with PVP!!!
Not every game has to cater to the PvE community.
Yes they do. They need something to play for 3 weeks before the next shitty PVE game comes out for them to hop to. If developers catch on and start making different types of games, what are these game hoppers gonna do?

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

Not as excited for this game as I was but with how few decent games there are currently I'll likely be picking this up just to see how it goes.
Still waiting to hear something about new world that’ll grab my attention to play it. -tbh. Amazon is the only thing that got me here.
So basically, no story line, no lore; missions are not part of any larger plot. It's a PvP game.
No thanks.
