Preppers for Orison landing zone ?
Looking forward, game is developing nice over the last 2 years, cool raid and we have a first persistency now, yay.
Since im a Linux gamer, im superhyped cuz we managed to make it running superb with wine
What about so many things they said they gonna add and then "deleted" them in roadmap? Comparing situation from kickstarter and now i really dont see any progress, i mean they make "something" but in the end nothing because it is not playable.....

LOL... The refund comment section is a joke. On average 20 guys daily writting prophecies of Doom (all proven wrong with thime) or explainging that every single features is crap ot that SC is a cult... Meanwhile +2000 guys on R/SC exchanging daily, including constructive criticisms, approval or proposition.
Roadmap never intentend to be engraved in stone, many lines did not moved at all, some lines have been moved or swapped then delivered, others none on roadmap have been added and overall those not yet delivered are in one of the next upcoming patch, knowing SQ42 Beta is still planend for Q3 this year and that quarterly patch are going to add contents and gameplay till SQ42 and after. Not counting all SQ42 assets will be injected in SC after release.
There is reason why this project keep receiving ten thousands of NEW players at each patch... because contents and goal matter more than a date.
2000 guys of 2 539 848 thats is 0.07% ^^ If it ever gets out there are still going to be atleast 1 year (according to history) of fixing bugs, exploits etc etc and knowing them they will just push for more content and put bug/exploit etc fixing on 2nd place. Thank god my whole organization got refund.

And we still get to hear your entitled opinion...great. Tons of progress made all the time. People saying it can't happen and eventually does. Its always goal post shifting to what they can't do next but ultimately do. Everyone saying they won't have money for another year, and then they turn out profitable...

+2000 every day... total is 189.000. R/SC is among the top 20 growth and this is just Alpha.
And this: "my all organization got refund". I much prefer the fake 17K$ refund with forged video done by a r/refund member made couple years ago, video validated as "true and authentic" by r/refund mods... Lol

That 2.5M number is misleading.
They include everyone that registers a free trial account they promote multiple times per year. Most don't even buy anything.
Just more sleazy used car salesman tactics. Furthermore, that's not even an impressive number for a 8 year old "game" that's claiming to be bleeding edge. Nobody takes this seriously anymore. It became a meme years ago.
As for the article (lol), I hardly see how this deserves attention, but I noticed that this game requires an awful lot of "pretending" on our part. How long before we are told to "pretend" that the $700 salvaging ship...salvages?

Around +1.2million individual backers vs registred. Not impressive? Ok please provide number of +1.2 Million individual who PAID for an Alpha and pledges a grand total of +260M$
Take your time...
Nobody take it seriously anymore? LOL... Ten thousands of new backers at each patch in a so called tech demo to collapsed 90 days top for sure! (since 2015).
This is precisely the opposite. The more patch, contents/gameplay the game receive, the more it alleviate the remaining naysayers around.
My Kickstarter era predictions of 'Not coming out on time', and 'Not going to be as promised' are still 1000% percent correct.
Marketing on Star Citizen is amazing. Not predictable. The most expensive game development ever. Even Roberts had no clue about this, as evidenced by his early 'planning'.
The big issue I see with Squadron 42 is that it will have to be really topnotch on release, because CIG is selling people their own dreams, and the 'real world' rarely matches that. The core group will continue to come up with excuses, but the fellow travelers just might see the Emperor's New Clothes.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

You are a really poor soothsayer as most if not all kickstarter projects (but also none kickstarter) are released with delay, extra costs, with more of less features. Welcome to the real world.
The funnier is that this project becomes a two triple-A project (Solo + MMO) for the same price (35$ for early backers) or for the price of a single triple-A if you joined after. So even during development... it becomes better than expected
Also this project is not the most expensive game ever. This is the common comment from someone ignoring (on purposes?) the fact Publishers do deliver Triple-A at cost of 50/60M$ (without adverstising)... but can do so because they spend over decades hundreds millions $ to hire thousands of devs, create or tweak game engine, made all imaginable pipelines... and mostly are releasing sequel (copy/paste assets) of previous same games.
Beta in few quarters not never or in 2050. No need for excuse because delivering a finished product is what Backers peldged for, not a date decided by shareholders.
Soothsaying not a function of Kickstarter status. Based solely on the project being run by Chris Roberts, with no oversight. The worst kickstarter delay I've personally experienced has been a year.
And of course, Roberts promised his game by 2015 or your money back. In his own words. Which was laughable, as his subsequent feature creep showed.
Kinda think you are inflating the investments of other publishers to protect the rep of CIG. Even so, guess CIG should have thought of all that before they proclaimed that they could get the games out at 5mil, 20 mil, 60mil, 120mil, etc (and points inbetween).
Having been warning folks to tap the brakes on the project for so long, I've had tons of enthusiasts telling me that the games would come out in 2016, 2017, 2018, etc. You know the drill.
The CIG marketing is exceptional: They've got a willing horse, and they're going to ride it til it's exhausted. Actually like the in-game virtual advertisements for the the various ships. The character creator looks very cool.
Stuff does get done, because even Chris Roberts can't micromanage 500 devs all over the world, constantly. But next week he's as likely to see something in some other game and demand that it be included in Star Citizen. Despite it being something that should have been planned for at the beginning of development.
Oh, time for another re-factoring.....
I believe nothing said about Star Citizen until it's up on the servers.

Erin (CR's brother) is managing devs. He was hiered by CR precisely for this purposes. For sure CR is not in its ivory tower like some CEO and is involved in decisions. I am not chocked he have to give a go for ships design or gameplay. He is a challenging guys and this is also why he got such support: not doing an NMS or ED like games with more colors or more planets.
About "Kinda think you are inflating the investments of other publishers to protect the rep of CIG. Even so, guess CIG should have thought of all that before they proclaimed that they could get the games out at 5mil, 20 mil, 60mil, 120mil, etc (and points inbetween)" it is not inflated. Takes the cost of creating studios, hire 500 devs over years, time to create pipelines, heavily change game engine and it cost over years hundreds M$.
Hence the project can't be done for x M$ ibetween simply because the scope changed mid-2014 for two Triple-A's... approved by backers through pool and the best way to validated a Yes: more pledges every yearand more important, More new backes since then.... because what matter to backers is the project not a date of delivery decided by a CEO in its ivory tower.
