"puzzles" usually this idea turns me off,not the idea but how every single developer does them.I am certain this team won't be as bad, like no sparkles pretty much holding your hand to do them.Still in the end puzzles usually don't come off as anything exciting or fun.
I rather see secrets unfold, ideas where the common player could walk right on by never noticing but to the real exploring type player they catch a glimpse of something hidden, some secret.LIke maybe a scroll with clues on it that have to be figured out over various zones and not that one small linear cave.
"content" I mention it a lot,not a fan of same old questing.I want to see a real event like content, npc's roaming around, maybe some Ogres are attacking a village, the players come together to aid the npc's in that village, something like that.
As to the picture...IKSAR lol wtf is an Iksar ,i know i have heard the name before, the game slips me though. They look like Demons to me but a little off because the skin looks amphibious. Now that i think about it,they sort of look similar to some EQ2 races just can't put a damper on it because, well i haven't played an EQ game in quite some time but yeah those models look good.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I don't think you read the piece correctly. They are using puzzles as a metaphor for the type of moving around of assets that is needing to be done to fit things in the zones. They aren't talking about putting literal puzzles in. It says:
"Some puzzle work is being done as areas need to be moved, resized or fitted into the zone layout. He’s got 4 zones on the go right now.”
And Iksar are a race from Everquest.

I'm still waiting to see a city or other areas that will be used as a community hub. Thinking Nexus/PoK in EQ, SW/Org in WoW, etc.
This was one area Rift turned me off right away.Drop down in some barren meaningless warehouse...sigh.
I forget what game it was ,perhaps Vanguard? We had a cool start, captives on some pirate ship and we had to escape and fight our way out.Stuff like that is what i want to play in mmorpg's,keep the suspense, keep the discovery, keep us guessing.
Sadly after we see the opening movies or opening 15 minutes of enjoyment, then mmorpg's become mundane ,same old.
