Zul'Gurub Is Now Live In World of Warcraft Classic
The raid in the acnient troll city of Zul'Gurub is now live in World of Warcraft Classic for your party to take on in the fourth content drop for the MMORPG.
So they are slowly re-releasing retail on classic.
Yeah, just like EQ, you can re-experience the complete betrayal and degradation of the game all over again, but better... you get to do it through the eyes of those who never knew what it was like and so the "classic" is just "modern" through rose colored glasses.
I laughed at this garbage when I watched the videos on the classic long plays... I was like "Wait, this isn't how it was", but hey... all the mainstreamers can pat themselves on the backs claiming that classic was not much different, in fact... classic was less difficult and more "casual" than the "hardcore" of modern WoW!

I see the same BS on the EQ TLP servers.
What? Classic is pretty much Vanilla with very few QoL changes.. Aside from a very few minor changes it is exactly “How it was” the only change that actually effected the feel of the game was the itemization patch being applied earlier.

I think those guys are getting their classic information from the chinese side, which has token implemented and whatever junk the chinese market wants in there (probably boosts as well). I mean wanting a game where you can buy in-game gold for real life money for a game that is meant to replicate the past really isn't helping the chinese market break the stigma of how they deal with online games.

Yeah, no.
The exp is faster, mobs are easier, mob density is less, etc... etc...
No, Not classic at all, merely a means by modern players to make themselves "seem" like they knew the game back then.
It is the same with the EQ TLPs, a bunch of idiots acting like they knew their head from their rear, proclaiming a bunch of modern designs as if it were the way it was.

Yeah, it is a bit insulting to hear people go on about things that I know for a fact was not the case. I was a full adult, working professional during those times, not some kid playing on my mommies computer with child like memories of the realities of the game.
These "classic" servers are not classic at all, just gimmicks to make modern players feel like they were part of the original game.
Keep in mind, this is the same people proclaiming it to be the same that will not admit that buying game items with real money is cheating. Modern gamers, modern idiots....

They have no clue.
It's Vanilla the way it was on the final patch before BC. Lots changed over the years from launch to then.

Yeah, I don't think so.
They had dumbed down a lot of the game right before BC, but not as bad as I see them.

Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising everytime we fall.
