World of Warcraft Shadowlands - What's Early Alpha Like?

"However, my understanding is we’ll be able to pick which order we do the zones, so I hope there’s alt text planned depending on what order a character does the zones. Taking away that option would be a huge mistake at this point."

I thought they said at Blizzcon (or at some point after) that this time we'll do the zones in fixed order because it's a better way to experience the story.

I want to say you do a linear run through with your first character and then any other alts you can choose one of the four factions when beginning shadowlands.

It's hard to stay uninformed, i'm trying to not to spoil the SL "new car smell" but man, Torghast, Torghast, Torghast did i mention Torghast.

I've yet to come across any article, video, stream... where anyone is not over the top excited for Torghast.

Time and Time again i've heard you probably won't understand why it is so amazingly fun, and they are right i can't, and tbh i'm not deep diving and watching anyone play.

However they all felt the same going in too, meh whats the big deal, 12 hours later for one streamer i read, so yeah totally cant wait.

So here's where i am atm with SL knowledge.

New Starter Zone - check
Torghast is the most awesome freshest new game play in years, basically it's the chit!!! - check

Am i the only one that hates all this testing being done where every aspect of an upcoming expansion is known before it even launches?

I like going into an expansion where no one knows much about it and everything is fresh and exciting. And no, ignoring all the info is not an option or a substitute.

While i appreciate what all this testing does for the final product, i think it does some harm as well.

Agreed, will already be guides and metas before launch.

You're not alone. Just need to be careful how you consume, here's what i know so far:

- New starter zone
- Torghast is amazing.

This little tidbit a guildy dropped last night, WoD and Legion won't have flying restrictions anymore if you haven't done those pathfinders. Which is so awesome as they are part of the series of expansions i skipped (cata - legion), so that kind of info i've no problem knowing before hand!
