    Another roadmap for this?

    Who believes these lies?

Those joining after testing one of the multiple free week per year... something no others publishers do? hard to lie when you can download the all game without any restriction...

All I hear from you is a noise from a PR bullshit.

fine. So the free weeks per year to everyone does not exist nor the raising count of new backers and pledges... keep believing naysayers mantra at your leisure, that won't change reality :)

    "Fine"?

After their last roadmap, wich was straight up pathethic lie, all what you can think of is "fine"?

    What is wrong with you...

Man, this game is going to be so awesome!

I can’t wait to play this on the actual space ship I’ll be on, as I travel to the home world of the Aliens that contacted humanity.

    You would be surprised.

There are even voluntary subscribers like me that PAY EXTRA in this crowdfunding campaign on a regular basis for that detailed level of coverage.

And its no joke ..... thats exactly the way we want it.

You do not have to understand it.

WHY would you pay extra for coverage you are entitled to just by funding the game?
Chris does NOT have a business if people did not give him money, every single person who gave him money deserves 100% transparency.

That means even seeing the books, otherwise he is hiding something.

I said  from the very first time i saw crowd funding that people should be sold shares and not B..C shares but A shares.Robert's didn't want help from people investing,he wanted FREE money,no strings attached. You are not investing in a game because there is NOTHING that says you are investing, you are handing over free money to someone you don't even know.

There is NO transparency so any level of "information"you THINK you are paying for is laughable to me,it smells of ignorance.Learn economics, learn about what investing really is and better yet THINK about what you are doing by handing money over to Robert's.

ALL of these other crowd funding ideas that break, fold up shop are there because they see how much money people are throwing at this stupid idea.It doesn't even matter if 500 GREAT AAA games come from crowd funding because you are encouraging a bad apple in the industry.

Star Citizen actual roadmap is nothing more than

    - Feature Creep to explain why product is nevere reaching "production" level.

    - More ridiculous ships for people to buy with real money to fund the devs lifestyle.

    - Stay in alpha/beta so they can continue to suck money out of the stupids without having to actually stand behind a products quality.

Its pretty interesting how "kickstarter game developer" is now not only a lifestyle choice but also a very profitable career path.....

in 2015 the game was collapsing 90 days top... In 2020 +75% of initial strecth goals have been released, more than 80 ships/vehicules are flyable and SQ42 beta is planned in few quarters.

Naysayers have always been wrong, consistently, that the lesson of this project :)

    riiiight.....

How did the refund if not released within 18 months work out for people? Oh thats right, they surreptitiously changed the TOS to prevent people from getting refunds.

9 year development cycle, nothing but a paid alpha, "stretch goals" are nothing but feature creep stringing along people all the while delivering nothing close to a commercial release because once commecially released theres a whole new set of legalities they have to adhere to.

9 year development paid alpha cycle is comedy gold.

If you would know what you are talking about, you would know that for 3 years they had a full refund policy. THEN they changed the TOS (Terms of Service). To what is legally required. So for years they had a much better offer ... and then changed it to the normal, legally required one.

What you call feature creep is in most cases CIG working on an already existing stretch goal. But as the naysayers are usually too lazy to check out the list of stretch goals, they are usually "crying foul" whenever they see something that their mostly limited knowledge of Star Citizen is not immediately familiar with.

With respect to the development cycle ... "its ready when its ready" ... has been for a long time the motto of game developers that produced milestones in gaming history. Feel free to play your "Assassins Greed of Battlefield Heroes" 24. I rather put my money in a crowdfunding project like Star Citizen. And wait until its finished, playing and testing the Alpha in the meantime ... while playing a ton of other games too.

    Have fun

They need to stop adding stretch goals until after the game is released.. . wait. . that wouldn't work.

Wa min God! Se æx on min heafod is!

    JoeBlober, honest question:

Do you get paid to do this?

What not asking the same question to the Patented naysayers wandering on every SC articles?

The fact, that you didn't answered the question, indicates that your activity here is shady.

That's why nobody believes your propaganda.

You might even be right, but i think he is just to invested with his feeliongs and money, listen to this :

I read a random article the other day, at pcgamer.com about star citizen, the first comment from a random guy, says hes been stalked by a SC fan, and had to report it to the police, after he critiqued it. then he goes on to mention this guy JoeBlober, and i had to pause...cause thats the name of our forum guy too, so i looked around a little, and JoeBlober was also commenting there and elsewhere. so it woyld seem he spends all his time on many forums, fighting "naysayers"

So you might be right ;)

at first i felt mad when i saw this, then i felt sad, for this JoeBlober, i really hope he gets his game one day, i would love to try it, but you cannot agrue sense with him.

Contrary to what you may believe I DID learn about what crowdfunding is ... and what the differences to investing are. I never planned to invest. I wanted to participate in crowdfunding. I am quite aware what I was doing when i was handing over my money to CIG. I did learn economics too ... not a full university degree, but I did my courses, got the certificates, thank you very much.

What YOU call a bad apple I call a potential game changer in the computer gaming industry. My personal opinion. Which is why i participate in THIS particular crowdfunding campaign. You insinuate ignorance .... i call it supporting an idea voluntarily (after having done A LOT of researching information about the subject from many different sources, of which CIG itself is only one).

    >>>every single person who gave him money deserves 100% transparency. >>>
No, we do not ... and I knew that when i participated in crowdfunding. And the last years have shown that there are some people that have a problem with too much transparency .. for a variety of reasons.

    >>> That means even seeing the books, otherwise he is hiding something.>>>
Just because a private company does not show the books to everyone in the world does NOT mean that they are hiding something. It just means they are doing what basically almost 100 % of every other private company out there is doing. This is not a stock market traded company that has to publish certain information online  (although you WILL find some information about CIG in UK that way too).

That they are hiding something is just your assumption. Are you also one of the naruto runners in Area 51 "because they are hiding something" ? How did THAT work out for you?

The last stretch goal ("Enhanced Ship Modularity") was added December 6th 2014

I suspect you mistake some ships/vehicles/clothing being added to Star Citizen (because the models are used in the Squadron 42 single player game anyway) with stretch goals.

Even the much discussed procedural generation technology for planets and moons was NOT a stretch goal added later. It was there much sooner  (41 Mil Stretch Goal Procedural Generation R&D Team )

I never Doxxed anyone, that was not my skillset. I congratulate you on being very sharp though, you made me smile.
But i am no Goonie. and not sa.com, never been there.

I almost feel there is a story there i would like to know, i would even tell one in return, but that would have to be pm.

We all see things, and understand things slightly differently, and yet i always have my doubts if what is done, is the right thing, to do or say, and harms none but speaks truth.

I have made many mistakes, many in anger, controlled by emotion. the need for justice.
but the biggest mistake i ever made, was not being brave enough to stand up for what i believe in, even the seemingly smallest of things, like telling your brother he is right.
to the big things, like the the Syrian Proxy War.

I wish you well too, i hope to have fun when a new great sandbox world comes out, if that is SC, then see you there :)
  • ErillionErillion Member EpicPosts: 10,328
There are two great sandbox universes that will always be interesting for me:

Star Wars and Lord of the Rings

    And honorable mention goes to:
Star Citizen, Wing Commander, Warhammer, Conan, Witcher, EVE, Elite, Fallout

Notably absent are WoW and HALO  (been there, done that, did not click)

But whatever one does play, its the most important thing to

I get how NPCs could be programmed to make things and help build the world. I'm not sure they would make interesting things. They likely would build a building here and a resource node there. Yawn.

This post was about the new Quantum thing they announced. I may have put my comment in the wrong thread. Maybe a mod could help me out?

EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests
