Unreal Engine 3 is from 2006 yet we are still seeing it in games with 2020 and 2021 release dates. When do we think we still stop seeing this thing used? I thought 2019 was the last year, but games just keep on using it in Asia, I guess cuz its so cheap. Literally when I read gaming news, as soon as I hear or read the words "Unreal Engine 3" I close my browser.
I was going to get a refund for CU, but i stopped cuz they actually had to re-do the game midway and use their own engine. The original engine they used wouldnt allow for high ping & fps during big battles of 300+ players so they are taking so long cuz they had to make their own engine. Which, now that I continue to see all this crappy news about new Asian MMOs continuing to use unreal engine 3, im going to wait for any western MMO that doesn't use that POS engine.

CU's plan has always been to create and use their own engine which they had early version of it back at the KSer in 2013, yet seven years later they are still refining it and are only just now preparing to stand up a 24 x3 test environment.
As for Asian MMOs using Unreal 3, realize most of those have been released in their home regions for many years, and only now are being westernized for release here to capitalize on a playerbase starving for something new.
Some of the newer Asian made MMOs are using U4 however they are several years (if ever) from being released here in the west.
Unreal5 will probably be available before then.

CS is using basically Amazon's version of the Crytek engine and that is quite old also. CU is building their own engine and that is pretty impressive and a herculean task.
if they suck that much it wouldn't have a market, of course unless western MMO is not that better, with is the case, both have issues and both want to milk you, but you only say "hate" one
When they stop being heaping piles of dung? That a good answer?
Sometimes, Western audiences have a tendency to be 'entitled' and that is definitely not in the Asian way of thinking.
When it comes to complaint regarding anything there is no year of stoppage.
