No issues downloading here. People having the above issue are an incredibly small minority, and may even be this one guy with an issue that is "several people". lol
The ones unable to download because their OS isn't up to date are probably running pirated copies of Windows 10, lol.
Or they are just to cool to run the latest update. It's always something stupid like that and then they complain. I don't know one person that has these guys install issues and that's a lot of players that installed without issues. Or these guys have multi drives setups and are trying strange installs for the game.
Interesting. My issues must have been made up then, or I did some "strange installs," whatever the heck that means.
There are tons and tons of posts with people having issues, but you know none of them, like that means anything. Right here, on these forums, several people are struggling and the reaction? Must be their own fault, I know no one with these issues. Hilarious, not.

well since msot here are still kinda lost and others are too dumb to stay quiet
redit post about most issues, I think this post list all errors and fixes for then
btw just a heads up I don't live on NA and certainly my PC is not region for NA, but I still could download the game and make it run yesterday, will check if it don't deleted himself when I get home
if you can't find teh game though microsoft store(I know I couldn't, never again btw) use the link in the pso2.com site, it will toss you directly there, then you are free
So I played the game just fine yesterday. Took a nap. Now I boot my PC up trying to play....
The game is gone, it's missing. My "pso2_bin" folder is only filled with 3 files and 1 folder.
The game deletes itself after you reboot your PC?
I never heard this kind of thing except in Fallout76
This happened to me when I tried to repair the installation, but it don't delete, it move the folder to a folder called MultableBackup, not to count that the game should be around 18GB (if memory's is not wrong) but instead it uses 50GB of space.
I had to take over the folder to remove that.
It's the second game from Windows Store that cause issues for me, the first one was Recore when it released and I had to refund, altho, I think I was lucky on Outerworlds when I had the xbox pass for a month, the game worked perfectly.
Might aswell IP lock it as sure you can download and play (servers are broken leggy and shit).
But you cannot get past the paywall without a US credit card and another of messing around in hyperspace.
You cannot play this game without atheist buying some inventory and storage space especially after level 50.
Anyone who plays on the Japanese servers stay there cause it just ant worth it , Arks and the translation team do a really good job at the community translation packs.
PSO2 NA release is a fumbled mess that in my opinion was a cash grab poorly planned by Sega and Ms .
They forgot good common sense and fell to the archaic regional licensing that should have in this digital age been a world wide or universal release.
Current games; Star treck online Rift Eve online Firefall
While I have always been somewhat interested in playing it, since I really like the town hub instanced dungeon action RPG style of online game, I've got probably too many other games to play now, and the whole MS Store exclusive thing just killed any limited interest I had in playing. Also from what I hear, after you get it, and the updates, it's about a 72 GB download, hahahahah, no.

This is the major issue I had and I've seen popping up in the MS Store reviews and on Reddit. I was able to completely reinstall the game and get in, but the "missing" installation is still taking up 100GB of my HD and can't be removed without a lengthy process.
It's a pretty sad launch for what's a pretty fun game once you can play.
Was excited for the game until i have heard so much negative things about the download. Guess ill wait a bit.
The issues have been pretty crazy, I've had to redownload twice and finally got in.
Mine disappeared today. I redownloaded it. Every time I hit start nothing happened. Then it started trying to download again...! I can honestly say I spent more time fighting to uninstall that mess of a download then I got to play it. Which is a shame because I was enjoying it.

I've had that issue several times on PC. The Xbox version is much easier, but the PC version looks better... right now it still runs terribly.
I've done pretty much every trick in the book, and even then, there's times the game won't start. Because of the ridiculousness of the Microsoft Store, you can download it, install it, and have the executables available to run, and the game will run without an issue, but because it's the Microsoft Store, and gets your account information from the actual app store, you can't just run it without going through one of microsofts apps.
It's the most ridiculous, convoluted situation I've ever seen. Had I not been playing on Xbox for weeks, with a few max level characters, I would have just given up attempting to play on PC. PSO2's official twitter has responded saying they are working with microsoft and looking into the issue, but it's such a clown show, I think this will put people off microsofts app store for a good while.
TBH this game is by far not that great.. THERE IS LIKE 0 TIPS TO HELP YOU LEARN ALL THE CRAZY AMOUNT OF MENUS AND SOOO ON. i WONT PLAY THIS GAME LONG CUZ OF IT. THEY GAME ONLY TELLS U HOW TO DO THINGS WITHOUT SHOWING YOU WHERE TODO IT AT OR HOW TO DO IT
Still having worked up the guts to redownload and try to solve the issues. Reddit seems very active with complaints. I am hoping they remove the store integration but that will make them buying the rights to this game worthless to MS.
I hope SEGA does not look at this and say the PC market is not worth bringing a game to in the West. That would suck royally. I also hope this does not work against other Japanese developers thinking about bringing their games to the PC.
Glad I made the effort to get it running though. AS a PSO fan since its first itteration I can safely say it is F-ing awesome. It most definitely isn't for everybody though and its systems can be hard to decipher.

Well, someone said this game is 8 years old. It feels like it's 15 years old, I was kinda hyped but in all honesty.. it's garbage.
That's not just an opinion. Shut it down after an hour of doing quests etc.
That is how i see it as well.
What i am seeing a LOT of late are really bad games simply using an overlay of that SAME identical type world graphics to make their game look modern but under that FAKE skin it still looks like an early 2000 game. The worlds often look so identical i'd swear they are all paying a license to copy paste them into their game because the textures look 1000% identical game to game.
Now FTR i should make it clear that being and OLD design is not a knock on earlier game designs, all we needed in SOME of those cases is a better looking game.IMO the PS game is NOT one of those games,it that case,it needs a BETTER game.
There are simply SOME games in the market that are just way over hyped, idk why,a solid marketing team, paying off lot's of websites to put out those giant 10/10 headlines, idk why but it makes me laugh.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
I was passing on this for a few weeks/months anyway, far too busy overloaded with stuff going on in SWG and WoW atm.
I expected to return here and read peeps stories of playing the game, what it's like on the PC, so much so that i totally cave and get it this weekend but... and yea...

Nah bruh, totally legit copy (I paid FAR too much for Pro) and I take care of my PC like a newborn.
Still getting the game uninstalling itself whenever I reset my PC.
SEGA and Microsoft aren't infallible gods. They're companies. They screwed up. Quit pushing their screw up off onto the customer.
After at least 10 hours of play over the last two days I decided to launch the game today and....... nope, not happening. I press the Launch button, and then, nothing. I have no clue what is going on but not doing an all nighter again to, hopefully, fix it.
Going to give it another shot tomorrow but for now, screw it.
