from what I understand it's not possible to have bug free software.
Indeed, that's why the code is gone over regularly before you career head first into the next thing you have to do. Other wise you will get an unpolishable buggy mess.
Old arguments still exist,it is just that new problems have arrived as game studios and publishers become more greedy for money.
Rushing out games was ALWAYS a problem and now instead of just rushing them out to get paid, they ask people to pay them long before that stage even arrives with early access and crowd funding.
So now instead of just worrying about a game crashing or even loading,we have to worry if a game we might enjoy has a cash shop implementation,is it p2w etc etc.
Does it look like developers and publishers care?Well just look at what happened with the PSO2 launch. As bad as my memory has become,i can still remember vividly most of the game issues i have run into over the years, not too many but i also tend to play mostly HQ games and stay away from Indie. When i do dive into Indie games the result is typically not very good.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

You have no clue about programming.
- Bad coding
- Sloppy work
- Not checking their work
- Bad production
Cover everything ?.... Also just because he only mentioned these four things he may still know programming ?
Since I'm not a programmer, what are bugs if not this ?
Just saying.

Not in large projects, no.
