Time to try to play the first game again. I have tried three times but just can not get into this game. I feel like I have to be missing something with how much praise this game still gets. Time to download the game on the PS4 Pro tonight

I recently tried playing the first one again also its ok but nothing to write home about.

Nah, it's just not for you. Just because others love it doesn't mean that it's for everyone.

For instance, I can see the quality of Horizon Zero Dawn, I get why people love it but I have absolutely no interest.

Just like millions loved World of Warcraft and I think my character, which I started at launch is level 32 ish? Maybe lower. Just never could stick with it.

I think people should try games they might like but life is too short to keep plugging away at something one just can't get into.

Think my biggest issue is the ridiculous armor sets. I can't get immersed thinking about the flawed design of all my gears and how cumbersome combat would really be wearing all that crap. I mean come on it would be like trying to sneak around wearing two or three garbage cans and lids all clanking together.

Yeah, I feel the same I see why people like the game it just bothers me because it ticks all the boxes for what I look for in a game. Aloy is also a really interesting character that I know has very interesting background. I just can't get past the first 10-15 hours.

It's sort of like Witcher 2 for me. I had to force my way through it. There were slices that I absolutely loved but for some reason, once that slice was over, it was just painful.

In the end I enjoyed the experience but I'm not enticed to play it again. There's a lot of amazing surrounded by stuff that makes it a pain.

Same with Witcher 3 THOUGH I recently downloaded a mod that made the movement more responsive and what I found was that it was a much better experience. I also noticed my wrist no longer hurt, implying that somehow the lack of responsiveness was causing my hand/wrist to try to compensate.

I started playing more of it but then found myself back in Assassin's Creed Odyssey which I think a played for a good chunk of last weekend.

That to me says something about how a game can capture you.

The story and lore of the world were what made the first game the best game on PS4 for me, gameplay mechanics vise it was just another open world collect stuff and run around game.

I am one of those people who love the game, the story was great and even though the gameplay got repetitive later in game was always a blast fighting a bigger and better mechanic dinosaur as you progressed. I am hoping the gameplay and mechanics stay the same and it just gets another great story and more mechanical beasts :) Was by far one of the better games on PS4 I played when it released.

I loved the story but I cannot play the game on the controller hoping the first comes to PC soon. They say summer. I hope I can manage it on the easiest settings.

I think that is my problem I like the story it is very good but the collecting and combat are just ok. it is fun to battle the creatures but gets really repetitive.

Horizon Zero Dawn is one of my dad's favorite games. I've watched him replay it... oh, about 4-5 times over the past few years. The only other game I've seen him play that much is Skyrim.

So, even though I'm not a Horizon fan myself, it will be a major motivator for me to get the PS5. Take your time and make it good.
