What is the difference between Wurm Online and Wurm Unlimited?
Unlimited is a single-player version of Wurm Online.
Wrong.
Unlimited has player owned servers where the server owner controls the ruleset.
Unlimited is also B2P.
Wurm Online only has Official servers & you pay a subscription fee.
Wurm Online gets updates before Wurm Unlimited.
That's the basic differences. I prefer unlimited because players servers tend to have the exp cranked up so it doesn't take half a lifetime to level your skills and accomplish cool stuff (like building a bigass ship and sailing around the ocean to new lands).

Sklotopolis has multiple servers connected and often has more than 100 people online. Especially during events like dragon slaying.
And skillgain is faster.
And more other features and quality of life improvements like easier farming for example.
Now that Wurm Unlimited code is "abandoned" by new management people who operate WU servers have the chance to advance it on their own.
No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.

Please anyone reading this article don't waste your money on this inferior version of the game. At every turn during the last almost 2 decades of this game's existence the devs have made bad choices regarding its design. Wurm unlimited however has improved on the vast majority of these mistakes by giving players control of their own servers. If you're looking for a sandbox game such as this then get wurm unlimited and don't waste your money on the unplayable antiquated grindfest that is wurm online.

Who really cares about this? I mean seriously. A very, very small group of people... waste of space article.
Agreed! It's super lame to put this article up instead of the heaps and heaps of exciting MMO news that pops up on daily basis...Oops, sorry, it's 2020. Nevermind
