The gameplay itself is very basic and generic. Run to map, go to X dungeon, clear it, go to town, repeat. There needs to be a lot more depth to the game.
When they false advertised the game as an MMO, stating that 4-18 or whatever players was a massive quantity I was upset and wanted it to fail just for the lies. Now they have back peddled and announced "its no longer going to be an mmo" and still can't win. They kind of deserve it for the false advertising.
Unless they introduce major skill revamp that would add a lot of variance and depth to character builds - I dont see any kind of a good future outcome.
the skills are so few right now that it really feels like a smartphone game, and not a good one at that
I really want TL3 to live up to the name at least
According to their streams, they have moved diversity out of the skill tree and into relics, pets and the legendarium. Assuming that there is decent diversity when that is taken into account, they have a big task in communicating that with potential players who see the skill tree and bail.
This is another stubborn area for Echtra and one I expect them to reconsider. It is very much in their best interests to fix those tiny trees imo.

Huh? It was an MMO by many peoples definition and they advertised when that was no longer the case.

While I agree that things aren't looking good, the game isn't launched yet.
PWE is charging money for the game on steam so it has launched. "Early Access" is just something to fool the less intelligent.
Are you the one who recently claimed the game stinks because of diversity hires? If so, buzz off.
