Bad E3 Trailers: Fable 2 and Halo 3

I don't know, but the trailer for E3 was just bad. I hate watching trailers that don't actually show what's in store, but it's like an attention trailer such as "LOOK AT ME, I'M THE SEQUAL COMMING OUT SOON!" rather than "THIS SEQUAL WILL BE BIGGER, BETTER, AND BADA*S!". Ya feel me?

Also, does anyone know if there was any talk about Spore?

Bleh, I found Halo and Fable to be grossly overrated anyway. I was really expecting a good trailer.

Halo wasn't overrated. Halo 2 was (kinda), Bungie screwed us over saying that the battle was on Earth when it wasn't.

Fable, WAS overrated. It was a cool game, but it never steer me from playing Morrowind. Not only that I stopped playing when the telaports shut down and I got my character stuck.

Yeah, but Fable was only overrated becouse of the games promises that they couldnt make. Hopfully the 2nd one will make up for all their lies!

For the trailors. I thought they were both stupid as well. Although the graphics were cool. You could say that about almost any trailor though.

Yeah man.. Spore was talked about and shown here's a link: Linkie from gamespot's shakey cam..
And here: Linkie2 is the one from IGN.com... I dont know which one is better quality... you be the judge..
Also I watched an interview with the guy from Maxis... talking about the game and basically going throught the same demo, i dont know where that link is... but anyways... Yeah Spore seems to be VERY interesting to me... I'll keep my radio tuned in that direction for sure..!

Sony got the same flame for their trailers by basically everybody that went to E3 or has seen them, basically none of the PS3 trailers showed actual gameplay, just "OMGZ MANG CHEK OWT R GRAFX WE R WIN LOL" and no gameplay whatsoever. Nintendo was the only company that really had gameplay footage and REAL demos, 22+ playable games, and 2 with 15 minute + demos.

The Fable 2 trailer was bad. Nothing but a simple cg trailer showing that the game is in development. But the Halo 3 trailer was good. Showed how the current 3d engine looks like, shows how the earth is like now after Halo 2, and it shows what the game will be about. That giant artifact/alien thingy in the ground.

Well there isn't much else besides graphics yet. They just started making the game. It's still ages away from release.

If they just started it may take them 2 more years (depends), but I see what you mean. I mean a story could have been told, or some words said.

yea the trailers werent exactly TeH Pwn4g3... i still have high expectations for Halo3 thinking how good its predecessors was and is. i dnt know shite bout fable, only heard it was a highly addictive game. overall pretty new to mmorpg games, used to RTS. ill buy Halo3 no matter wt, all halo trailers r crap anyway.

For me one of the worst trailers was Company of Heroes, or whatever that new RTS is from Relic... the game looks cool but the trailer was just bad.

The best trailer? MGS4 extended trailer, hands down. Now that is how you do a trailer!

Hellgate London's was pretty cool too.

Yeah, Fable definitely is lacking... Any game that purports to be a RPG, and has such limited areas to explore with set paths to walk through are outdated... This is also why I disliked KOTOR too... And is also why Oblivion has such long lasting appeal too...
