meh it was too easy and had a heavy load of content, serious, after sometime, I did I think a little over half what the game had, but I was already on cap lvl and was one hiting everything, so I started to rush to the end

I wonder if they fixed that issue

It's a problem that huge worlds with bucket loads of side content all have in common. The Witcher 3 is no different. If you do everything you'll be doing a lot of it for 1 XP per quest completion lol.

At least in W3 you can toggle mob level scaling on and the mobs on the low level quests won't be 1-shot kills. But it does nothing for the quest reward XP: sclaed or not it's still 1 XP for out-leveled quests.

Didn't this company file for bankruptcy years ago? I was under the impression they were done? Also I wasn't impressed with it....I thought it would be alot better...I did not like the combat.....on console, I would push one button and the hero would go through a series of attacks...just never felt right.

It's unfortunate how tacked-on the scaling option for the Witcher 3 is. I really like it from a gameplay perspective, but I do have to toggle it on and off on occassion because it makes certain fights nigh-impossible (rat swarms, the wind djinn in The Last Wish that literally one shots you if scaling is enabled, etc.) The fact that it does nothing for rewards is also deeply unfortunate. It could have at least raised mob xp.

Also, the game really should have just raised xp per level instead of scaling down xp. It just makes more sense that way and doesn't rapidly make a majority of quests worthless.

wow... this is great! I loved the original KOA, super underrated RPG. Sucks that Curt and all that drama overshadowed how great the actual product was.

It also didn't help that it came out right after Skyrim. I think for those of us that did play, we know how great it was.

If you haven't played it yet, I suggest picking it up for cheap on steam I think its 20 USD there may be cheaper elsewhere, but the expansions and the story are well worth the price of admission.

I read somewhere a while back that the game was intended to be an MMO but later during development switched to an SRPG for lack of funding? Anyway, super happy about this, will definitely support it. New content for it in 2021 also? Sign me up boss.

sidenote: That was a very talented dev team they put together but Damn, I can only imagine what they would have done with more time and funding. Imagine KOA with 10+ years of development and 300+M in development money.    :D

IIRC they planned on both a MMO and a single player RPG.

I'll definitely be picking it up on PS4. Was a really fun game. I never got far because I was distracted by other releases and mmos. I don't really play any mmos anymore. At least not consistently.

Good thing cyberpunk 2077 got delayed again. I wouldn't want a repeat of Skyrim launch during the original launch.

Lol. Implying that Skyrim isn't still a mess after 9 years and many re-releases.

That's what modding gets us. Games that developers don't bother to extensively patch officially.

No Mel means when this game launched (KoA) Skyrim had just launched a couple of months prior and this game flew under many gamer's radar because of the attention pulled to Skyrim.
Cyberpunk could/would perhaps do the same thing.

Mel is right, release timing is crucial for titles with less than premium cachet.
    Oh, whoosh.

This truly is perhaps the most unfortunate game in existence. However, I know for sure that I will be purchasing this and won't be purchasing Cyberpunk on release solely due to first person vs third person perspectives.
