Does anyone honestly think this isn't gonna flop. We already know the fate of this game, we just watched it happen with Population Zero.
Your efforts would be better spent coming up with something entirely new, moving away from the survival era. Be the first to do so, because let's be honest nobody working on this project can truly believe their going to be able to bring together a team capable of pumping out yet another survival game that can actually compete against industry giants like Bethesda- who are themselves struggling with their survival game still long after release. A game that even had the backing of a beloved IP behind it.

2024: 47 years on the Net.
I also feel people way over exaggerate the punching of trees etc etc.First of all survival games TRY to create more immersion and realism than mmorpg's that are terrible at it or simply don't promote the idea you are actually a character in a living world.
In Atlas for example,if you really want to whine about punching one tree maybe 5x,you can mod the game so you can just start the game with all 3 tools to harvest. You only need punch a tree 5x and that is all the punching you'll need to do ever.Rocks are on the ground and within 20-30 minutes you can craft your tools.
Survival games trade off quests for realistic world features like building ships, sailing the seas. Our mounts are realistic living creatures that can act as mounts, combat and harvest, they are not simple cash shop ideas like in many mmorpg's.
Combat in mmorpg's is typically lol ,looks fake as hell.In Atlas the mobs move around like you would expect them to and are never hidden away in some instance zone.
I can build a structure,a house ANYWHERE i want in Atlas, can you do that in a mmorpg?
Without going on and on about it,mmorpg's offer quests and nothing more, survival games offer few quests but a lot more and in a much more realistic looking world.
We can say the same repeated things about mmorpg's,kill x mobs get xp,you know new ideas like that,we can do quest kill x bears receive xp and loot, you know new ideas like that.MMorpg's are good at instancing a mmo game,go figure, good at rinse repeat just as much as a survival game does it's rinse and repeat ideas.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Let' look at what life will be doing that is also typical survival game ideas.
Building,you can't do that in mmorpg's
You can climb all over with use of grappling apparatus type tools. the place without any need for pre rendered areas that allow you to climb in typical mmorpg's.
Life beyond is aiming for the more futuristic feel, perhaps a tad different than what survival games usually aim for.
The world does look devoid of life which imo is a or might be a major flaw. The graphics are a tad lower, the models a tad lower and some animations are a tad lower. I think we can properly judge this in a years time to see if it looks better overall. For now it will not compete or steer me away from Atlas others from Ark.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'
