SSG still hasn't released detailed info on what the hardware problem is? Is it possible that they still don't know themselves?

Servers back up but chat isn't working nor friend lists etc

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

There have been some Rumors And sometimes Rumors are not to be taken Lightly on the Darknet about some type of major Cyber attack and the date 07/31/2020 is being bantered around a lot. I'm not saying this is what is going on but Myself I am going to have all of my Devices off Line on the 31'st just in case. As some one Stated in a Previous Comment this shouldn't be taking this long to fix. That tends to make me think that something deeper than just some hardware Failure is the Problem. But what do I know I've only been working with and around Computers for nearly 4 decades.

Me guess is a memory leak. They don't know what code is causing it,ok boys let's just reboot and hope it goes away.

So going forward they can do like other devs from the past and have an everyday maintenance mode.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

There's no indication they did anything but bring the servers back up to take the heat off them being down so long with no communication. Lag to the point of unplayability, no chat, friends list disabled. All exactly like it was before they took it down. It would appear that either they don't know what the problem is, or it's something beyond their control.

Fairly certain it's something beyond their control according to the wording they used. The "and other environments" could very well be issues that came about because of some kind of cyber attack that could be directed elsewhere but was affecting them for some reason etc
