Looking forward to BG3... but I absolutely HATE these announcements for the announcements.

They should make an announcment to announce an announcement that announces an annoucement for the release date instead

    much simpler that way....

I am so tired of these hype trains they almost make it so the game can not live up to the hype they created. I really do not like how this one is looking it does not feel like a baldurs gate but more of a divinity original sin spin off. I thought the last divinity sin was tedious I hope this turns out well. I have been playing the xbox release of baldurs gate lately and other then being just archaic it is fun.

In all my life i have never gone from such a high to such a low in one small swoop.

I watched the trailer and was like WOW that looks amazing,if the game is like this i am all in for sure. Then i see actual game play and am like my god,NOTHING like the trailer,it just looks like another typical indie dev pile of junk not worth playing.

Such a disappointment,so bad i won't be playing it ever, not even if it went f2p on Epic game store.
Poster above sees it for sure,it does look more like a Divinity game than a BG game.Just look at what Square did with FF7 that was a massive improvement on the latter game, this BG3 looks like it was made the same time BG 1 was made.

D:OS are totally overrated games with more bad, unfun stuff in them then there is good. BG3 being developed by Larian inspires dread in me for the franchise. Afraid it will be another poorly executed amateur hour game with a big brand name on it. What a waste.

Can you be more specific? What "more bad, unfun stuff?"

I personally thought the whole first three or four hours of fort joy was the most tedious thing I have ever encountered. Then the fact that they had to release a definitive version to fix all the things that were wrong with the original even know it was free for people who bought the original you still had to wait for a fix for a game that I paid full price. Those are my complaints, I thought the first game they made of these new iterations was good they made the elemental stuff too overpowered in the second game.

Is there an actual game trailer (not showing actual game play) that ever captured game play?

The Baldur's Gate 3 trailer was clearly a marekting piece, a piece of "movie making" as all such trailers are.

As far as this game goes, as I've said before, it's NOT Balur's Gate 3 a successor to the first two games.

it is instead "Baldur's Gate as seen through the lens of Larian studios."

More aking to what Bethesda did with the Fallout series.

I recall when I was young in my little dingy town we had like may be 2 big billboards. Then when a movie comes like a Bond movie they would put up these huge posters, artwork not pictures like they do nowadays, for weeks before the movie comes. I would cycle past and just be happy to see them because it built up the anticipation.

My father was a huge Bond fan and I was just a child and he would take me to the cinema to see it and I didn't understand half of it but I still recall some scenes. May be in my old age I am beginning to remember the things that happened when I was younger more vividly  as opposed to what happened yesterday.

Eeek! Sorry. Playing Atelier games now so won't be changing for awhile. Although Ayesha is so well drawn.
