From what I have heard, the Hammer was OP as far as damage was concerned.

Had a blast playing the stress test and yes the hammer was OP. I ended up going with a sword anyway after trying the hammer as the hammer just felt wrong

A tweet from a developer is the equivalent to a 4 year old constantly yelling "Look at me!"  All this really says to a game site is "Give us some free advertising!"  And they did.  Mind control is so simple these days.

'the only way he could nail it any better is if he used a cross.'

    Kyleran on yours sincerely

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'

Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

with is kinda a easy guess, want to know if a weapon is overpowered? see how many use then.

also kinda makes me remember the time I played secret world, since there was a lot of mix in skills one time I was having problems to do quests in the pvp zone and killing people, I used the rifles as main with pistols, was ok but never winning, till I started to get so many points and I put in several skills tree on skill I figure could make thing better, I then tried hammer ult with aoe rifle, for almost never doing quests I jumped to do quest in seconds, the slow dot zone aoe of that ult was op and did a huge damage, and I checks that on all to pvp, arena and pve pve was ok but pvp was a killer, not many notice it too
FOR HONOR, FOR FREEDOM.... and for some money.

mind control is what the dev of ashes of creation did, contact all top streamer and fake promises about the game on stream so more ppl buy the founders pack. you all forget about a test version of aoc with monetization

Do you still need keys to join the 25th August preview? Or will it be open for everyone to test

Also why does everyone have a gigantic 2-handed hammer?
Because a giant One handed hammer looks goofy... ;)

Wonderful.  Very excited for this.  It looks like they've been working really hard on this and I respect that.

It would have been nice if I had of gotten my invite before the event instead of half way through Saturday.

Me too! Received my Density invite literally one hour before the end of the test; this type of incompetence fails to inspire me for the future of this game, especially given the huge $$ pool and supposed talent Amazon has employed.

We have learned some valuable information but we won't tell you what ...it's a secret lol.

This wasn't about testing but whatever,if people are dumb enough to get sucked in to pre orders and such, they deserve it.
I am not even sold on this team doing much while the wait is on.they could simply be working on something else and just have a few people hanging around biding time fixing bugs.

Amazon is as scummy a business as it gets,i would be very careful to believe anything they say.I was actually laughing at the pathetic attempts of the amazon's spokesperson trying to lie to government questions or stumbling to find the right words to use and or telling the congress they are constantly misunderstanding ..lol.Even funnier when the top dogs play DUMB,i am not sure but i will look into this and get back to your offices ..lol yeah right .

So imo the writing was on the wall,Amazon an early fail out of the gate saw yet another fail and cannot let that happen or their gaming business goes out the window. So that is why i do not feel they are doing much, just a delay to pretend, pre order dummies will know however if much is done from now until 2021.Geesh in 6 months most average sized teams can build an entire expansion for a game,so let's just see what they are doing come next year.

The fact EVERYONE used the OP hammer in a 'test' says a lot about the community thats for sure. Community ultimately determines the 'success' or 'failure' of a game.

I also suspect the 'delays' in invites were a result of a lot of people not bothering and them seeing they didnt have enough players to properly test. So what you ended up with was a predominately thirsty and desperate bunch of scrubs.

Or they really are that incompetent and they didnt get the invites out to everyone who qualified in time. But I cant believe there were THAT many people who preordered this so that they had the luxury of choosing who they wanted to invite.

As someone who got to test this weekend I would have to say this is more like a Assassin Creed game than a MMORPG

Well not so sure about Assassin Creed but yeah,, doesn't feel like a MMORPG at all. If anything more a survivle game. I ran well and looks really good but to tell the truth it did not level me with the "Oh man I just have to play this" feeling.

The devs stated this stress test was performed in preparation of the preview week on Aug 25th.

Haters are going to hate.  You all were balls deep about this game when it was an open world full loot pvp game.  Ever since they decided to go the PvE route with some PvP elements, people on these forums have lost their minds.  It's okay, you guys have Darkfall Online.  You know, the game people here were swearing was going to be the next WoW killer.  How did those numbers work out for Tacos and company?

I loved Bow and Arrow, and Firestaff personally.
  • AlbredAlbred Member UncommonPosts: 48
I personally felt that the Axe was OP. 20% heal on kill, and Debuff Cleanse that heals 10% per debuff cleansed + immunity. I could just slash my way through trains of mobs. Has good stagger against players, if they backdash, you can leap attack to regain position, and you are unable to be killed during Berserk Mode. Also, they need to put a cast time on the Life Staff's 'Dash' ability. You dash an incredible distance when the talent is maxed out (40yrds) and impossible to chase down unless you are quick with your own staff. Lastly, not sure how I feel about all abilities going on Cooldown after using one weapon, then swapping to another. Sort of defeats the purpose of weapon swapping doesn't it?

Game was definitely not my cup of tea. Gave it a try, just in case. Glad I pre-ordered when it was free. Don't have to fuss over a refund, heh.

got the email to play.....after the playtest was over. feels about right for amazon games.
  • KaliGoldKaliGold Member UncommonPosts: 138
The overwhelming response from players was one of shock and awe because they kept hearing how bad the game was from the whiners.

Alot of people dont want to play anything else now. See you all on the 25th.

Wow that's weird, an MMOrpg forum poster with something nice to say about a game, I can respect that too!  There isn't much of that on these forums, mostly a bunch of burnt out gamers looking for something that doesn't exist.  I'm also really looking forward to trying this when it releases.
