Oh yes, there's a World of Warcraft speed runner who speed-leveled through Shadowlands beta from level 10-50 in under three hours.

For the most part. Brand new players are forced to level through BfA, then they can level alts through any expansion they want.
you could do this in old wow but xp required was much higher and dungeons did not scale with player so xp with harder to get and required a lot more effort. thu i think it a bug he was able kill lvl 30 mobs and get xp as a lvl 30+ use care if this goes live they mit do rollback as considered it a exploit since techinally your killing lower lvl mobs for max xp.
also to keep things in perspective, 50 is technically max but 60 is the real max in shadowlands and that can be another 10-20 hours depending on how much he trying to rush am sure it can get lower but it be very small % that are able or willing to do it.

9 alts in BFA to max so far, been playing around working on a boxed druid and priest (78) for about 2 weeks now i guess, i rolled a DK as a break from boxing (don't want to beak the box just yet) and after a couple days almost 100 lol.
But yeah been a couple alts i wished leveled that fast too.
They are reducing the level cap to 50 in 9.0 and it will be 60 in Shadowlands. You can (if you are not new to the game) level from 1-10 in the new starting zone they are adding, Exile's Reach, and then 10-50 in any expansion in the game currently as they will all be scaled from 10-50. (Dungeons are slightly different, they each have separate level ranges)
