Spellbreak Launches Today on All Platforms
Spellbreak, the magical, stylized battle royale game, has released today on Epic Games Store, Playstation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. In addition to releasing on all platforms, it will also be cross-play and cross-progression across all of the platforms.

Sadly ifyou look at how much money Rockstar and Epic make lone on these cheap low budget games,you can see why so many other studios are just copying them.
Money turns the gaming industry,NOT passion for game design,not even close to being in the same league.
Devs care 99% about money/microtransactions and 1% for their game.If people would pay to play a BR in a 256x256 box with system textures,the studios would gladly sell that to you.
Furthermore,the sales pitch is AMATEUR hour.Like who tries to sell a game without any video,they want us to buy into what they are typing on a screen,pfft not a chance.Show me a narrated video,otherwise i call bullshit on even playing the game.

I may have installed it a year ago or so back when I didn't know it was a Battle Royale. After I found out that it was, I uninstalled it after finishing my first game, literally played the game for 5 minutes, found out it's another game about nothing and moved on.
I have beta footage that I made like last year, the problem for me is waiting in the lobby for a match it can be like 10-12 minutes waiting time, and when I got in, it crashes lol.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

Spell combination reminds of Magicka game, would be cool that instead of being another BattleRoyal, a genre which is completely saturated but in a Open World setting along with other classes with the same depth of skills but ultimately would be a huge ammount of work besides that it would be ultimately a nightmare to balance.
With Epic behind them maybe they can keep iterate on it and push the good things it already has forward!
